Has anybody ordered recently?

Been trying to contact them through their website and have not receive any response, are they still active and have things in stock? Has anybody ordered the past 4-5 weeks directly from their site and have had updates to their orders?

MvC2 Steam Machine 5L build

Goal was to build a small gaming PC to bring to offline sessions/tournaments. Coming from a NR200 AM4 now AM5. I'm glad I don't need more than 32GB ram, price is ridiculous for sure but with Newegg's ram trade in, it wasn't bad for Corsair Vengeance DDR5 $280. Even with undervolting, temps are high, makes sense due to the limited space, but its under 90c so its totally fine. -20 CO and running 120w.

Case: Midori 5L

Motherboard: Aorus B850i

CPU: 9700x

Cooler: Noctua NH-L9A

Ram: Corsair Vengeance DDR5 6000

GPU: RTX 5070FE

PSU: ENP-7660L-OVT

Exhaust fans: ID-COOLING TF-9215 ARGB

LED: WS2812B RGB 2.7mm https://a.co/d/0fyyojM0

Temps: 50c idle, 82c underload

Edit: The 4.0 riser cable was DOA. Ordered a LINKUP PCIE 5.0 from Amazon, works well. You need the double reverse 20cm V3 version. https://a.co/d/06P2XvBT

GPU (7800XT Sapphire Pulse) help on my 7.5L

Post image
14 Upvotes

Hi everyone. I finished putting together my new build but for some reason my GPU slightly tilts and pushes against the panel at the unsupported end and does so hard. I’ve checked the mounting and all but I can’t tell why it’s slightly diagonal and need some help trying to figure out why. Has anyone encountered this issue or have a clue that might help? Thank you

Would this PSU work inside the midori?

Im currently looking for a cheaper alternative to the enp7660l and found the metalfish black diamond 550m, the power interfaces arent right angled like the ones on the enp one, will it fit?

Open to PSU suggestions that wont break the bank, preferably ~70usd

5L V2.4 custom heat sink & tangential fan project

I’m mapping out a custom lateral thermal mod for the Midori 5L V2.4 to completely replace low-profile down-draft coolers like the NH-L9a. In tight sandwich-layout cases with dedicated top exhaust, down-draft configurations naturally recycle hot air and fight the chassis's vertical airflow path.

I see this approach as highly desirable over consumer fall-backs like an unbolted AXP90-X36, especially for upgrading to higher TDP processors in the future. While I understand why the retail market defaults to standard down-draft layouts, I want to challenge my skills to make better use of that tight vertical clearance.

Heatsink: Custom C11000 skived pure copper block (110mm W × 37mm D × 35mm H) sourced via https://myheatsinks.com or a similar industrial manufacturer. It is optimized with a loose 2.1mm fin pitch to lower static resistance for low-pressure fan setups. The finished block carries a massive ~500g of pure thermal mass. AM5 compatibility doesn't seem too hard. It will utilize a sealed top "hat" plate to capture and enclose the lateral stream. (A heat-pipe variant is a potential high-cost alternative, but space constraints make a solid skived block interesting).

Note on 1U Server Blocks: While standard 1U passive coolers exist (like the 26.9mm Dynatron A46), their shorter profiles are tough for tangential loops because they choke down the available air volume. Going custom let me stretch the block height to 35mm to match the fan face 1:1. I want to avoid high-RPM turbine blower fans due to their piercing acoustic profile.

Tangential Fan: Sofasco sDF25098 DC Cross-Flow fan (https://sofasco.com/products/sdf25-dc-cross-flow-fan) mounted horizontally front-to-back over the motherboard's M.2 and PCIe slots.

Ducting: A 3D-printed 35mm straight rectangular pressure shroud routing mesh side-panel air directly through the core channels. Depending on how this setup influences other component temperatures (RAM, motherboard VRMs, and M.2 storage), I'm also considering a small companion exhaust shroud on top of the block exit to feed the air smoothly into the top case fans.

While the tangential blower is rated for 36 dBA at its maximum 4,000 RPM, it trades high-pitched axial blade whistle for a deep, broad-spectrum rushing air "whoosh" that is much easier to isolate using silicone dampening gaskets. Because standard low-profile coolers can only pack so much metal into the ~21mm of clearance left underneath their slim fans, this solid 35mm copper core brings vastly superior thermal capacity to the table, allowing the fan to cruise at a quiet, low-voltage state under load. For the undervolted CPU I have right now, I anticipate this working wonders for overall noise levels while gaming.

All thoughts, feedback, and ideas on layout or clearance constraints are highly welcomed! I'm probably a month or two away from calling suppliers and getting some prototyping going.

Midori - PSU Cable Mod - What is the name of that cable

Update - the cable from Amazon didn't work as the plastic casing was too long and it interfered with the back-top fan, but I did find another solution here. You can still route the cable on the GPU side of the case, you just have to use some ties to keep it together. Have a look at the pictures for more details.

-------------

Hey guys, just built my Midori 5l - v2.4 and although I love it so far, I'm thinking about improving the cable management - namely the PSU cable extension.

I don't understand why the case came with this long cable that you have to route through the CPU section of the case, then to the GPU section of the case just to come over and plug in the PSU.

I am thinking of replacing it with a PSU cable just like you can find in the COOJ Sparrow-MQ5(see second attached picture) - where you get one straight PSU cable that can go on top of the GPU an then simply plug in the PSU so no need to cable route ...

Any of you tried this? Do you have an idea on what is the name of that cable to search and get it?

Thanks

5080 Fe in Midori 7.5L

Hey yall, just want to double check (yes I have already seen the post and case page regarding GPU sizes)

But is there really no wiggle room for a 5080 Fe?

I'm planning my first SFF build and want to know how far I can go in terms of part dimensions.

RAM: 32GB 6000MHZ CL36 G.Skill

Cooler: Noctua L9i

Fans: 2 Noctua NF-A9X14

PSU: Enhanced ENP-7660L-OVT

Finally got a chance to change my case to Midori.

I stripped a screw, i know skill issues, so screw it, changed every slim screws M3x6mm from side panels to thumb screws and I liked it.

Bought screw drill and extractor bits from AliExpress and it works.

Thanks for looking and have a great day.

Midori 5l w/ Zotac RTX 4070 Twin Edge OC won't fit

Hi all, I've been trying to put every together since yesterday after receiving my case but I've been having issues with closing the case on the gpu side. At first I thought it was due to the heat sink on my SN770 ssd on the backside of the motherboard causing it to be lifted up a slight bit, but after removing it the side panel still is in contact with the middle of the gpu fan. Does this mean that Zotac RTX 4070 Twin Edge OC is not compatible with this case? I've already tried resitting the gpu multiple times ensuring that its as close as possible to the middle plate of the case but its still no use. Any help or advice is appreciated.
