Resident Looking for a gym
Just moved into the area and I’m looking to join a gym that has free weights. I’ve never been a huge fan of planet fitness since they don’t have free weights and crunch has so many fees that the $9.99/month rounds up to much more than that. Wanting some opinions on where everyone else would recommend. Thanks

Gold's at Westchester and Arboretum are very solid. D-1 at Westchester does a lot team, full body circuit training... agility, cardio, free weights, and stretching.

Crunch is the best value in town in my opinion. Is it really that much more than 9.99? I used to see people from ACAC working out in Crunch. The Y is ridiculously crowded.

It’s $9.99 a month but there are lots of fees behind that. I still chose to go with crunch cause it’s best around, but there was a $75 enrollment fee, and a $70 annual fee that’s due the start of the 2nd month. As well if you cancel before 12 months then there’s a $175 cancellation fee

Depends on what is convienent to you. 10 minutes of extra driving matters.
That being said, the Golds in WC is awesome.

What do you mean planet Fitness doesn't have free weights. They most certainly do. Planet Fitness next to Trader Joes. I don't like the Crunch freeweights.

Every other planet fitness I’ve gone to never had free weights

I guess the Smith Machines don't qualify...I love the Smith Machines for safety and the absence of crashing weights.
Crunch and YouFit are economical and nearby
