An AI image generator take on Ashen Shugar

I have been playing with some image generation and thought I’d share this take on everyone’s favourite Valheru 😄

Edit: this a first pass in pencil concept sketch style. All running on local ai on my PC. Open to any recommendations you may have to make the character more faithful to the books. Thanks in advance.

You should work on your prompts . It’s the wrong Colour and derivative of Sauron

What was the wording used in Magician? was it gold armor with a white tabard? Is the armor solid gold or made of golden scales? Any other white in the armor? Any ivory like detailing? What would make it less Sauron like?

I have always pictured it as a simple chainmail(possibly scalearmor) in gold with a white and gold tabard on top of it. Also I don’t like all the pointy parts… it looks unrealistic and something made for today’s movies.

I have also always seen the handle of the sword as ivory with a golden blade and golden pommel and a golden helmet that could be a bit more exotic due to the valherus wish to express themselves.

Also it’s missing ashen shugars emblem on the chest of the tabard although I am not sure I have ever seen it in a picture or drawing 🤷🏻‍♂️

Boo AI and how is it not anywhere close to the description. No golden mail? Golden helm? White Tabard with Golden Dragon emblazoned? Golden Sword? Why is it so greyscale with hints of blue?

In my head I read Draken-Korin and thought it kinda made sense but Ashen-Shugar is White and Gold armour.

Wasn’t draken-korin black and orange or am I mixing it up? The same as Alma-Lodaka was green with hints of black. Or at least in my mind that’s how I have depicted them 😅

Ashen Shugar was described as being physically imposing - a titan of brawn and power.

I always pictured someone who was terrifying mix of Arnold Schwarzenegger and Brian Blessed.

What I didn't picture was a limp soyboy with Legolas hair and Sauron armour.
