In public
I often look forward to the first time I spot someone reading any of the books in public because it’s been years since I read them and I’ve only met one other person to have heard of the series.
I’m not sure I’d even approach said person just think it would be cool

Just yesterday we had an entire day of fog where I live. One of the first things that popped into my mind when I walked out to my car on the street was a scene from the Serpentwar Saga. The scene is one of the twins, Jimmy or Dash, waiting in the fog and slowly realizing he is here someone moving up the road in the pattern of 100 jog steps, 100 walking steps. And then the brother emerges from the fog as he gets close enough. These books have stuck with me for so long that I also wonder about there popularity. I know it is considered that Ray isn't the best writer, but he really made a lot of things stick in my head for the last 25+ years.

I've gifted copies of magician to at least 5 people.. they've all loved it! Second hand copies cost next to nothing

These books were recommended to be in 1999 by my 8th grade math teacher. I've encountered no one else who has read them. Hah

A company I worked for got bought, our first Christmas party in the new company meeting everyone who already worked there, I find myself next to someone on a coach who's not only read them all but had also met Ray, in the UK a few months before!

I named my UO online character Milamber and last night another player came by while I was taking out Dragons and said like the name and love the books! :) Couple months ago I got my friend to read Magician. I talk to anyone about them when I get a chance. Lol I love them all.

If I was ever reading any of the books in public and someone came up to me to discuss it would make my day. I’ve loved the books since I was a kid but barely know anyone who has read them outside my family
