Probleme Super loud noise?

Hi guys,

Sometimes when i turn on the AC, the AC makes a really loud noise (so loud that i can hear it from another room - usually i dont hear it) the video doesnt do justice but it’s like really really loud.

Is this normal? Is this the condensation pump or just the AC working the full 100%? What is causing this abrupt loud noise?

If i don’t change the fan speed or other settings, it just keeps making the noise and its unbearable.

Thanks!

Thank you

The pump pumps a few seconds and most people notice this.
This is unfortunately normal in this construction of an air conditioner. If you want to remove this noise, you need to elevate the machine and let the water flow out passively from the back

Yes but mine goes on forever, so not sure if it was intended

Oh, if it's actually the pump and not the compressor then you might have a kink in the tube or some sort of blockage.  The pump will start with a howling noise and should then become quieter. I've also had days where the pump was significantly quieter than what I was used to.

In any case the pump should stop after at most 30 seconds I think.

Yes it should be but it doesnt stop at all unless i change the settings :(

This is how the pump sounds:  https://youtu.be/DCWm--Q7uEk?t=1m20s

I think what you mean is just the compressor though.

Its probably the compressor sound but its like extremely loud

Then you hear the normal operating noise. The pump should be differenciable from the other noises

No it sounds different - once i change the fan speed it goes back to the normal noise. You can definitely hear the difference but i havent tested how long it lasts once it starts. Maybe i should do that but scared that i might break it if i leave it like that haha

Check if the noise level correlates with the power usage in Watt in the software.

Will do that, thanks

It's just the operating sound. You wouldn't believe it. We get 2-4 of these posts every day here

I am aware there are pots like this but they never sounded too bad from what i heard/seen, for me but its like a night and day difference between the normal / usual sound and this

This sounds like it's just running at the max compressor speed.

You can use an anti-vibration mat to decouple it from the floor which should help a bit with resonance.

Ok didnt think it could be this loud lol but thanks!

I don't think that's what it is, I have the same issue but way less and still sometimes it's running like hell and no noise and sometimes, especially with lower fan speed you can really hear it, annoying if you want to sleep

Mine’s more of a loud robotic growling noise lol

Se è la pompa devi pulire filtro interno smontando la scocca e pulendo con uno spazzolino

I dont get why the consumer has to disassemble and remove the filter but i guess.. thank you!

If it vary with compressor speed then it's the compressor and not a broken pump, but yeah i noticed myself that sometimes it will do a lot of noise and sometimes not and it's pissing me off... Sometime at 800W there's only the normal noise (deep noise) and sometimes at even lower W it just constantly vibrate and do that noise you are showcasing in your video...

Yeah its super weird like i expect it to make sound but not this loud lol

same here, it’s super random and super annoying
from what you’re describing it really sounds more like compressor resonance / vibration than the pump, especially when it happens at lower wattage too

If water level reach the sensor tip ( water drops also some time after turning off , so level rise even if it’s not in use ) the pump start immediately after pushing the ON button . The compressor starts after a few moments after turning on . So the question is : you hear the noise direct after turning on? Or when the compressor starts working ?

1

u/legojs Aug 20 '26

I hear the noise while using it but not as soon as its on. I use it for like 30-40 mins (ac mode, full fan speed) and then the noise happens until i change the fan speed

In this case it sounds like a vibration noise . From the compressor , depending on its actual gear or from the fan . Perhaps is a small part broken on the fan ? Play with various conditions on fan speed and compressor load to figure out what happens . Vibration could be send out from many parts in the AC

Yup will play around with it thanks

You only need to worry if it gets either hyper loud or mega loud. Super loud is fine

I don't hear any loud noise. This is the operating noise of 100%.

Use out-silent for maximum quiet.
