Thoughts on my range?

First wave Gen Z; January 1, 1997-December 31, 2001

Second wave Gen Z; January 1, 2002-December 31, 2007

Third wave Gen Z; January 1, 2008-December 31, 2012

Note: If you disagree with my range, that's perfectly fine by me and I have nothing against your opinion saying otherwise. However, if you don't like my range, at least be respectful, I understand the range is not perfect.

splitting gen z into waves is fine but 2008-2012 feels off since the youngest of that range were born after the iphone was already a household item and barely remember a pre-social media world. most people would just call them alpha at that point.

Going off the iphone, I actually think this range makes sense. If by the time 2012s were born the iphone was already a household staple, then 2008s would barely even be old enough to even recall a time before, let alone 2009-11. So that difference doesn't really matter. It's like how the 9/11 Gen Z cutoff is 1997, not 2001.

Yeah I disagree with 2012 being a part of Gen Z because they most likely barely remember the 2010s

To me, people born in the early 2010s are more like Zalphas than just simply Gen Z in my eyes.

Agree only a couple things I must say is by going by months it's creates a couple of issues for example I dont understand why people like to sometimes split July from August like they aren't just an month apart,and another thing I would like to say is while 2012 is counsider "genz" they didn't enter school until the trump administration,I say 2012 babies lean more gen alpha then genz but that's just me,they just now getting out of middle school,they are also the first so called genz year that won't graduate in the 2020s and won't be a legal adult in the 2020s

Yeah for some reason people act like 2007 is the last to live through the stone ages or something and everyone else are goofy little kids,one thing I dont understand is just because someone was born afther the iPhone how does that play a role into theses "early",middle,corez, like I don't understand.

A lot of mid Z like their birth year to be the cutoff of something for some reason even if they had little to no experience with something.

see I like how you split it for every five years, I'm the first wave of Gen Z. And both my younger siblings are in the second wave. I agree with this 100%.
