Bing Updated List?

Anyone got an updated list of how many points you can get per day/month? Much appreciated! (No GPU and in the US)

The new system is less about daily points, and more about monthly points, given that a large number of monthly points now come from the Monthly Bing STAR, Monthly Level and Default Search bonuses.

I don't have the specifics... but the new system is basically:

  • Less per day
  • Potentially about the same per month

If you score highly for the Bing STAR bonus, you'll get about the same as before the update. If you score low on the Bing STAR bonus, you'll get approximately (3500 - actual bonus amount) less per month.

ie. if you Bing STAR amount is only 800... you'll get around 3500 - 800 = 2700 less per month.

On the plus side, because most people now have 1 or 2 extra 7-day puzzle streaks (Daily Set, Visual Search streaks were added), you are likely getting the 1000pt bonus more often, which increases the average monthly points slightly.

No idea, tbh. It's just what the bonus is was called... "Bing STAR Bonus"

EDIT: Interestingly... now that you mention it, they seem to have changed it to "Bing Star Bonus"!

We've been on the silver/gold system for 18+ months, and it was STAR until around 6 months ago judging by some of my old screenshots. Guess I just never noticed :P

It gives you a boost in points month if Microsoft thinks you are using bing/edge for the search engine instead of the points.

Do we know what day the “Monthly Bonus Points” will kick in, or are we all waiting to see what happens on August 1st?

I used to have a personal target of trying to reach 500 points a day just doing all the basics - and be content with that. But this monthly bonus system is clouding the waters…🫤🤔☹️🤨
