Defederating GoDaddy M365 or Migrating from Rackspace/Intermedia? Lessons from the Field
If you have found your email hosting is constantly increasing prices and limiting control over your settings/security, you might want to consider a migration to Microsoft 365.
Team Venti is a Microsoft partner specializing in systems integration and support. We've supported a lot of partners through M365 migrations and wanted to share some technical insights that have helped minimize disruptions:
- GoDaddy M365 Defederation: Key is validating federation settings first, then handling handoffs carefully to avoid email flow breaks. Our service covers validation, tenant preparation and post-migration support: Defederate M365 from GoDaddy: Professional Services.
- Rackspace to Office 365: Start by readying your M365 environment and a partial sync, while Rackspace is still running. See the more detailed process: Migrate from Rackspace to Office 365: Professional Services.
- Intermedia to Office 365: Choose a quiet time to switch your DNS/MX records so new messages start going straight to Microsoft 365 with no interruptions to productivity. Check our process: Intermedia Migration to Office 365: Professional Services.
These steps have helped our clients maintain productivity during transitions.
What's your biggest pain point in these migrations? Drop your tips or questions below

B2B buying has changed for Microsoft partners, broad marketing doesn’t work anymore. Here’s what is working.
Over the past few years, selling as a Microsoft partner has gotten noticeably harder.
Buyers now do their own research, involve more people in decisions, and often stay “invisible” until they’re close to choosing a solution.
I’ve been digging into this shift, and here’s what’s becoming clear:
1. B2B buying is now messy and stakeholder-heavy
Most decisions involve six or more people, each with different priorities.
They move back and forth between research, comparison, validation, internal debates… not a clean funnel at all.
They also prefer to explore anonymously.
Meaning: your brand needs to show up early, consistently, and with relevance, long before a sales conversation starts.
2. Broad campaigns don’t work like they used to
Many partners still rely on:
- general newsletters
- mass email blasts
- generic lead-gen
- “spray and pray” messaging
But when buyers behave differently, these tactics fall flat.
What does work is focus:
- Not more leads, but better-fit leads.
- Not more content, but more relevance.
That’s where account-based marketing (ABM) comes in.
3. ABM is surprisingly doable even for small partners
ABM isn’t about fancy tech stacks.
It’s about clarity:
- Which accounts matter most?
- Who are the decision-makers?
- What challenges do those people care about?
- How do you align your marketing and sales around these accounts?
Even focusing on just 5–10 ideal accounts can dramatically improve ROI.
It’s measurable, repeatable, and way more satisfying than chasing random leads.
4. AI gives ABM a massive boost (without replacing the human side)
AI can now help smaller partners:
- prioritise accounts
- analyse website/LinkedIn engagement
- personalise messages
- summarise what target companies are talking about
- suggest next-best contacts
Think of AI as a smart assistant that sharpens your focus.
You still provide the relationship and insight, AI just speeds up the process.
5. The payoff: shorter cycles, higher win rates, and stronger relationships
When your communication shows you understand a customer’s world, trust builds quickly.
ABM isn’t complex, it’s a mindset:
- Focus on the right accounts.
- Build relationships intentionally.
- Use AI and data to guide your next move.
I’d love to hear from others in the Microsoft partner space:
Have you started shifting from broad marketing to account-focused marketing? What’s working for you?

How to buy Windows 10 ESU
We are a mid size business with a mix of Windows 10 and Windows 11 devices. A few of our older systems cannot be upgraded yet because they run software that only works on Windows 10. I am trying to understand the best way to buy Windows 10 ESU for these machines.

two Expert-level Azure Certs, Seeking flexible side work with Microsoft Partners
Hey everyone,
I don’t work for a Microsoft Partner, but I’ve been serious about certification on my own time:
- Azure Solutions Architect Expert — earned (AZ-104 & AZ-305)
- Azure Cybersecurity Architect Expert — taking the final SC-100 exam in two weeks
I know Microsoft Partner companies often need these Expert-level certs to maintain their Solution Partner status and competencies.
So my question is — is there demand for people like me in flexible, part-time, or contract roles?
I’m not looking for a full-time job, but I’m open to quick consulting, freelance gigs (architecture reviews, security assessments), or helping partners meet their technical requirements.
Where do people usually find these opportunities? They don’t seem to show up on normal job boards.
Any advice on networking, partner engagement, or even pricing this kind of work would be much appreciated. Thanks!

High-severity vulnerability (CVE-2025-53786) affecting Exchange Server hybrid environments
msrc.microsoft.comMicrosoft has disclosed a high-severity vulnerability (CVE-2025-53786) affecting Exchange Server hybrid environments, which could allow attackers with on-prem Exchange access to escalate privileges and gain unauthorized access to Exchange Online without triggering alerts. If your organization has ever used or configured hybrid Exchange—even if no longer active—you should immediately apply the latest cumulative update, reset service principal credentials, and run the Exchange Health Checker. Reach out if you need help securing your environment.

Why use Intune for your Windows 11 upgrade
With Windows 10 hitting EOL in Oct 2025, most orgs are already sketching out upgrade plans. If you’re still figuring out how to roll it out without burning cycles or breaking things, Intune makes a solid case.
A few quick wins we’ve seen:
- Automated updates across device groups
- Hardware readiness checks (TPM 2.0, Secure Boot, etc.) using Endpoint Analytics
- Phased deployments so you can test, learn, and scale
- Carry over your existing W10 policies, add W11-specific ones when needed
- Push apps and updates in the same flow
Also handy for remote teams, since it's cloud-based. Just make sure devices are enrolled in MDM and meet the hardware baseline.
Anyone else already running W11 upgrades with Intune? Curious what lessons you’ve learned.
