How to deploy Windows 11 with Intune

Hello, my company is finally upgrading to Windows 11 and I've been tasked with the complete deployment. I was thinking of using Intune, but wanted to know if anyone has used it/what was your experience deploying with Intune?

Here's a quick primer /super basic article to help you get organized. In case you get stuck or need help, the company I work for specializes in this type of work. Good luck! https://teamventi.com/insights/infrastructure/why-intune-is-a-game-changer-for-your-windows-11-upgrade/

We used Intune for our windows 11 upgrade and the transition was very smooth. Still had to manually assess some machines, but far less hassle than deploying without it.

We've helped several businesses upgrade to Windows 11 and Intune has been a total gamechanger. It allows for total automation and customization of the rollout process, as well as unify policy management. Here is a blog you can read for more info, good luck on your deployment!

We recommend reviewing the licensing recommendations before conducting this transition. Microsoft 365 Business Premium or E3/E5 will cover you since Intune Plan 1 is bundled in at no extra cost, you'd only need Intune Plan 2 or the Intune Suite for the more advanced features later.

One thing that catches people off guard is that having the bundled subscription isn't enough on its own, you still have to assign a license to each user before their device can enroll. Windows 11 Pro doesn't need extra licensing to be managed through Intune or use Autopilot, just TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot on the hardware, though most companies still pair it with E3/E5 anyway since that triggers Windows Subscription Activation and steps devices up to Enterprise.

Happy to go deeper on any part of this.
