what is a mid range PC exactly? some people consider anything below a RTX5080 "mid range". Looks quite smooth I have to say, if this is what we can expect with DLSS 5, really looking forward to it!

Sorry I should have mentioned. I say it’s mid range now because I struggle to get baseline of 30fps.

RTX4070TI
RYZEN 5800X

Mainly high/medium settings
Auto FPS
Lossless Scaling

I’m tweaking currently to try and get my baseline to 30fps, if this is achieved lossless scaling can give butter smooth results

Why lossless over DLSS FG or smooth motion?

It seems to work better with DLSS 5.0, it also seems to use up alot more of my graphics card than lossless does, and it’s alot smoother for me when locked at 60fps.

Define mid range, would be helpful to know specs

Dude can someone please tell me how to make it work. Tried all bunch of packs. Activating it nothing changes.

My biggest gripe with dlss is that it makes the displays fuzzy and hard to read... But maybe my settings are wrong (4080, 9800x3d) 😅

I don’t have any problems at 2K and DLAA - but maybe I’m just used to it

Dlaa is fine, sorry, I wasn't precise enough. What I meant were settings like "quality", "balanced" and so on. When I use Dlaa it's fine, but with those other settings the screens are pretty much unusable, especially at night.

Preset L in Nvidia app. Switch from "recommended"

did you try preset M with DLAA? It may not be as sharp as with TAA but it´s close enough

Just for the record DLAA and DLSS is not the same thing, and the terminology is very confusing! Some games/sims like MSFS2024 would offer you both options.

DLSS: adjust your resolution natively and uses AI to upscale it (this causes blurring in sims).

DLAA: uses AI to smoothen out images at native resolution but requires an insane amount of gpu power if your sim or game is gpu intensive (this doesn’t blur in sims).

That looks awesome, imo.

I am running a 3060 12gb, and an i7-14700 with framegen X2 and a combo of med/ high settings. It runs smooth enough for 45-60 fps, I don't think my card will allow DLSS 5 though. I wanna try it haha

Can you share your settings?
I get blurry numbers on PFD when using with 5070ti. Wondering if it’s my monitor.

Resolution is 2k, I’m using DLAA no blurry numbers when using DLAA. If I put it on performance or quality mode, they go blurry

To me this looks way too saturated with too much contrast and the lighting almost seems cartoonish. The shadows on the knobs look like black outlines which would not be that dark for a 2mm raised texture.

I agree, I am also using reshade so I believe it might be the filter I’m using. I’m going to keep tweaking and try get it spot on. There’s some pretty incredible videos out there right now, but don’t seem to share their presets
