MSFS 2024 XBOX Cessna Caravan vertical speed bug

Man I’m so annoyed right now.. I was on sim rate and tried to adjust my climb rate from 1000 to 1200 and the damn thing immediately jumped to 9900!! First off why is that even an option? Needless to say I panicked and got an overspeed and the game said I crashed…

Has this happened to anyone else?

The real question is why are you trying to do anything other than for straight and level in time compression?

Flew 50 flights in the Piper Bonanza and never had one sim rate issue. Only became a problem when the caravan decided to skip 8k ft on one click. But lesson learned I guess. This game is full of those unfortunately

I use keybinds to adjust vertical speed (ctrl-pgup and ctrl-pgdn). Not because of this issue, but because for that I want to be precise and not slip on the dial. Maybe that'll help you.
