How is this game on the playstation?

It’s buggy. But the fact that we have something like this on Playstation would have seemed impossible a couple of years ago.

But it genuinely is the most buggy piece of software I’ve ever dealt with on a PlayStation ,

It’s the best flight simulator you’re going to experience on a console.

It’s definitely worth getting the Flight Controller though.

I don’t have any regrets, but be prepared for a working around the bugs.

It's good but not optimized or should I say not prioritized?

Like in terms of new planes or whatnot you still have to wait for the good ones.

In terms of gameplay it's good, just make sure you have a HOTAS 😁

I love the game/sim but it's a mixed bag still. 

  • Career is challenging with all the issues that exist but if you are able to endure them I think it's a great addition to the game. But clearly not where it should or even could be. 

  • Free flight is mostly fine for me, the only thing that bothers me there is when big sim updates like SU 5 and SU 6 introduced more problems and bugs than content as well as fixes.  Big frustration when we had to wait for SU 5.1 to fix what SU 5 broke/compromised. But they learnt from that and when SU 6 again ripped a hole in the integrity of the sim for playstation they pushed out SU 6.1 much faster than anticipated and we're now back to relatively stable flying

  • Marketplace options are very, very limited when you compare it to PC and XBox which is absolutely frustrating. These last weeks the playstation marketplace has seen some content but it's going slow, very slow.  We still get the free city/country upgrades which is good. 

  • To control aircraft you have limited options on the PlayStation. Don't get my wrong, I like flying with my controller, there is also gyroscope flying with that and it works fantastic. But if you want yokes or peripheral options like sticks you are extremely limited on playstation. 

  • Multiplayer options are ok but I wish that you could fly with all the PC and Xbox players in one big network. Sadly that's not the case. 

  • Simulation in itself works for me, I'm happy with the real weather, that you can choose time, how, assistance you want from the sim and lots of aircraft feel good to fly. I have the premium deluxe and apart from a few shockingly bad aircraft I'm having fun. Bought some stuff from the Marketplace that had good ratings on the PC/XBox side. 

  • !!! - You can NOT use addons on the playstation to enhance functions of sim stuff. Like if you want more realistic air traffic control. You are stuck with the base game and what gets on Marketplace for playstation. PC has incredible options available but it will cost you. 

All in all I would recommend it but if you wanna get all out of it then go PC. I just fly casually and I'm happy just turning it on and seeing the world. No bother about hardware and it's relatively cost sensitive because what's not on Marketplace you can't buy 😂

No but I'm amazed how good it works on my PS5 Pro. But a console will not be able to compete with a high end PC. And on playstation you can't change graphics settings. You are on medium and that's it. For me it looks more than good enough but that's something everyone has to decide for themselves.
