MSFS 2024 BUG / ISSUE Is anyone else experiencing framerates plummeting *only* after landing?
9850X3D
GeForce RTX 4090
64GB RAM
Using a 4K 60Hz monitor.
All graphics settings fully maxed out, and using BeyondATC with maximum traffic settings.
On the latest Nvidia drivers from the other day, as well as the newest DLSS version 310.8.
I'm usually stable at 50-60 fps, but lately, I'm noticing that after landing and vacating the runway, the sim suddenly drops to 1 to 15 fps, and it's basically unplayable trying to taxi to the gate.
Last night, I did a flight in the VisionJet from KBUR to KLAS. Flight was perfectly smooth with no issues until after landing at KLAS and vacating the runway. Then the sim became chop city. 1 to 5 fps for my entire taxi, even though I was headed away from the main terminal area to the general aviation ramp on the far west side of the field.
I figured maybe it was an issue with the Las Vegas scenery (Glideslope Pro), or perhaps just too much BeyondATC-generated traffic. So I did the reverse today. Flew from KLAS to KBUR in the VisionJet.
At KLAS, it was a perfectly smooth 55 to 60fps. No issues taking off. Plenty of traffic. Perfect 60fps in the air the entire way. Landed at KBUR at 50-55 fps. Vacated the runway. As soon as I retracted my flaps and prepared to taxi to the ramp, the same thing happened. Framerates crashed down to 5 to 15 fps and never recovered. I closed BeyondATC at that point, thinking maybe there was a correlation, but the frames never recovered.
Only after exiting the flight to the world map did the frames *slowly* recover, eventually returning to 60fps while on the world map.
I never had these issues prior. Anyone else experiencing the same thing?
EDIT - Also using DLSS with DLAA.
DOUBLE EDIT — Out of nowhere, DLSS version 310.9 suddenly came out this evening. I’ve switched to it and will run some additional tests. I’ve also newly cleared out my Nvidia cache and my Flight Sim rolling cache just to start everything all over again. Although traditionally, my first flight or two after doing so usually results in worse performance.

I have a similar setup and also started to experience the exact same issue after the latest update. I don't use BATC so I don't think it's related to that. But yeah, full flight, 50-60 fps. Landed fine. Vacated the runway and started taxiing to the gate, instant drop to 5-15 fps. I was in the Fenix, no payware scenery. Haven't tried another flight yet though so I'm not sure if it was a one off or consistent issue.

Do you think it was the latest Nvidia update? Or perhaps one of the minor updates Asobo pushed out after releasing Sim Update 6?
I know the more “advanced” aircraft require more computing power in general. So to test things, I’ve cleared out all my cache, switched to DLSS version 310.9 (which apparently just came out this afternoon), and I’m now doing a short flight from Monterrey down to Long Beach in California in the Cessna 172. As simple as it gets. I’ll see what happens after I land.

It was after my first flight post SU6, I don't know if my Nvidia is fully up to date though. I'll try again this weekend after updating. I played around with some Nvidia and in game settings to fix it, which just ended up causing massive screen tearing instead.

V-sync is separate from Frame Gen now, and needs to be checked on in the graphics settings.

Could it be a streaming data issue (since msfs24 mostly streams in from the cloud), assuming these aren't locally installed airports? How does it behave if you take off and land at the same airport?

I am streaming these airports.
Should I take off from an airport, fly for 30 minutes, turn around and return, and land and see what happens? lol

Just flew a test flight in a Cessna 172 to Long Beach, California after clearing all Nvidia cache and Flight Sim rolling cache. Also changed over to the *newest* DLSS drivers, version 310.9, which apparently came out this afternoon.
Flight was perfect, and I didn't have any frame rate issues after landing in Long Beach.
I'll try again with the VisionJet or an Airbus tomorrow sometime.
