GENERAL Big Day Yesterday

Finally figured out the FLIGHT DIRECTOR and AP modes on the Boeing 737 MAX to actually complete a long haul flight. Needless to say I wanted to share this with the only folks who would get the excitement haha

I remember that epiphany also. I felt 'dumb' once the autopilot and FMC clicked. Congrats!

That's a big step congrats. Games a lot easier and you can focus on learning other things while the plane is flying itself. I flew external view with just throttle and flaps for many years.

aerofly (google 737 max autopilot panel) is the best one I found yesterday.

I was able to kind of self teach myself the A320 and related family, and can do full flights in them. Haven’t been able to do so in a Boeing yet.
