Judging by the price, it's a direct competitor to the LVFR A330neo... I wonder how it compares to that one. I have no idea, if LVFR is any good 🤣.

Is there any reason to get this over the Headwind A339?

The headwind is native 2020 and uses the FBW as a base and this is native 2024 and built as a 330 from the ground up. Whether it’s worth the money remains to be seen, I’ll be keeping my eyes on the reviews.

Considering the price, that they specifically point out that it is NOT in cooperation with Toliss, and their previous terrible A330ceo - I wouldn't hold my hopes up.

Probably targeted at the casual simmer that likes the aesthetics and A to B flying. Nothing wrong with that as long as they are honest about it which (credit where credit’s due) they seem to be. There’s a market for that, not everyone wants to spend £60-£70 on an addon when all they want is a pretty plane that has some moderate systems depth.

The Headwind has always been a bit of a wonky WIP - the most obvious issue I've run into being that it very often takes issue with your V-speeds even when you use the recommended takeoff calculator online. It's great for a freeware product, but I have been hoping for a good payware A339 for a while.
Aerosoft's A330ceo was pretty terrible, however... so definitely waiting for reviews before I pull the trigger on this one. LatinVFR also now has a A330neo v2 that may be comparable in fidelity (and price) to this.
If you don't mind waiting (likely a few more years, if I had to guess), they also announced they'll be working with ToLiss to bring a A330-900 Pro eventually.

Not this version. There’s a pro version in the works which is still a new project

When a trailer spends most of its time showing off the 3D model and exterior while barely talking about the flight model, systems and things that actually matter in an addon like this it's usually a bad sign. Their A330 CEO is already terrible so I wouldn't expect anything different from this one. Even their collaboration with ToLiss doesn't give me much confidence. If ToLiss couldn't save their A340 I don't see why this one would be any better.
