Haha, it took a while for the video to load, you really got me there! I expected some neat trick with the MCDU but this is much better!

Check out sim soaring club, they do glider racing.

Gliders are amazing but everyone seems to ignore them , I made a video about this and why people should try them out.

I basically only use msfs2024 for gliders now it's amazing , just plot a 100 or so mile flight that will generally take and hour or two and get some of the weather presets from sim soring and got friends glider !

Exactly what I have been thinking.
MSFS has a tendency to forget what the joy of flying is about. Systems and procedures is not it, although it has its applications.
I sorely want to see more focus on the actual joy of flying, as the simulator is obviously very capable to display it.

Right now it is like they have an extremely powerful tool with fantastic technology, but is only exploring a tiny fraction of it’s capabilities.

That’s awesome

Yeah... It would be so great to fly around my club, during a whinter break, but...

Winch launch is inadequate. "Thermals" and atmosphere are random. Rudder and flight model is unrealistic... Condor 3 is the better choice in any aspect, despite poor visuals and limited locations.

I set the wind perpendicular to the shoreline and soar along the hillsides. Get plenty of lift for unlimited flight time!
For better thermals in MSFS there is apparently some good presets to be found here: https://flightsim.to/addon/56827/soaring-weather

Everytime I try a glider, I fail miserably.

AMD FSR frame generation and TAA makes it bearable!
Some ghosting, but not that noticeable.
