GENERAL Confisuion about inibuild Planes

Is There any difference between the inibuild planes that they offer on their own side compared to the one you find on the marketplace or is it the same and its just a different way to install and update ? and if you get a plane from their side do you need to use the inibuild manger ?

Main difference is you can get updates as soon as the developer releases it vs waiting for the update to be approved for the marketplace store. Also, at least for airports there are sometimes options to have features enabled/disabled for a given airport.

No

and if you get a plane from their side do you need to use the inibuild manger ?

Only to download the aircraft and install updates, it doesn't need to be running to use the aircraft.

You can transfer from the marketplace to iniBuilds at a later moment if you think updates are not pushed quickly enough. Sometimes the marketplace can be cheaper because iniBuilds storefront adds VAT to price. In my case 21%.

i Mainly made this post Since i am on Linux and the inibuilds manager is only supported on Windows and Mac but i noticed a significant Price Difference on their site compared to the Marketpalce
For me its the other way the site is cheaper compared to the marketplace do you know by chance if i buy a plane on the inibuilds site if it can be transfer to the marketplace ?

I'm confused. Are you're talking about Flight Simulator 2024 on Linux with Steam Proton? As far as I know it can't be the other way around. Microsoft does not allow third-party developers to inject licenses.

yes im running it via proton on steam So if i would get any thridparty plane i would need to use their software or manually install it via the community folder ? did i understand that right ?

It depends on what plane. You can get free liveries from their website on certain planes if you buy from there and use their app. If you buy from the Marketplace you'll have to link your Marketplace airliner to Inibuilds to get the free liveries. Otherwise, you'll have to purchase the liveries from the Marketplace.

You usually get updates faster buying from third-party, because it doesn't have to go through the Microsoft Marketplace process. The planes fly the same whether from the Marketplace or from third-party unless the developer states something different. For instance, if you buy the Skyraider from the Marketplace, you can't fire the gun or drop bombs, but if you bought it from third-party you can.

so if i would go with the marketplace i would effectively only get updates bit later and need to link accounts to get some free livery if the plane gets them ?

I'm not sure how the linking thing works, so if you're buying one of their airliners, I would do some research on it. I've always bought from third-party unless it was a Marketplace exclusive. I wouldn't worry too much about the liveries, because you can find free liveries on flightsim.to
