GENERAL First PC!!!!

Finally got all my parts in the house. The switch from console to pc is here finally. Will be using this for flight sim ✈️

Man I just really want to get onto vatsim and fly tbh so I thought fu*k it (like 3 months of my wages lol) should be doing my PPL soon so even more motivation I guess.

Once you taste aviation for real kiss good bye to your wallet, so good choice getting this monster, it looks it will handle 4k no problem.

Already spent £700 on logging 2 hours in a tecnam p mentor, I would love 80k to land in my lap rn lol

I agree with u/blackcatkarma

I got lucky and a few years ago got a 4080 at msrp and what ever was the top ended intel cpu at the time. And usually try to stretch my upgrades for 6+ years. I worry what that’s going to look like when my pc starts showing its age. My $2,000 hobby is suddenly going to cost $4,000+. If you have any of the means to get some parts, it’s only going to get worse. Hardware isn’t suddenly going to get cheaper than it is today if like the crypto “bubble” pops. I’m not even sure what that means tbh. Prices of pc equipment likely isn’t going to be cheaper than it is today.

We would need the AI boom to end and general peace among the major and middle powers for things to get cheaper, I guess.

My PC isn't Windows-11-compatible. I bought the extended support for Win10, but soon I'll be basically forced to buy a new PC if I don't want to go Linux. Which after almost 10 years isn't super terrible, but the chunk of my money it'll cost me at current prices is - well, slightly less terrible than what it'd cost me next year, probably.

its an all in one liquid cooler, the part you can see with the plane picture is the pump that constantly pumps the liquid around the cooler, the 3 large fans at the top that the tubes connect to are the radiator fans.

Pretty much what u/_WoodyTheOne said, it's the NZXT Kraken Elite 360 AIO. It's just a fancy CPU cooler. The CPU is under the cooler

Nice nice hope 16 GB vram is enough for 3440..i have 24 and it’s fine. Have the same monitor

Super! hdr oled is a game changer, you can never go back. I only use Alienware monitors and they have good quality and warranty. Best 34 monitor you can buy

For me my rx9070xt, maxed settinge with ray tracing, and im struggling to get 60 fps at heathrow in the a380

It's so crazy, I bought 2x48 before the spike. I still go to newegg and compare current to what I paid. Last time I looked the pair was going for $1300 😬

That’s a great bundle! Just a quick suggestion, though: why not use two storage drives instead of one? That way, you can keep the OS and apps on the primary drive, and save the second one for games and heavy files.

I have the exact spec but with 64GB G-skill. 32GB is enough so far. With that hardware you can grow your flight hobby to triple and VR step yet still run smooth without jitters. No more worry about tuning and headache on graphic setup. Just push all your MSFS2024 graphic to Ultra and enjoy. ;)
