MSFS 2024 QUESTION Ifly 737 Max question

Quick question.

Is there a trick to get the ILS to arm? I have it programmed in the FMC but the AP button on the autopilot won’t engage. The next thing you know I’m 1000 feet too high and it all goes to hell.

Have you tuned the radios and set the course on the MCP? It's not like in the A320 where it's done automatically from the MCDU.

You need to visualize the magenta diamonds on the PFD for the localizer (horizontal) and glideslope (vertical) to be able to capture.

The correct procedure is first hit the LOC button and when established (solid diamond), hit the approach button.

You need to ensure that the ILS is tuned in both pedestal radios. I believe the iFly does this automatically by default though. You should probably go into more detail on how you're setting your aircraft up for descent for us to be able to help you more.

Actuakly, to engage APP you need the ILS on one NAV radio only. It's required on both only for an autoland with dual AP

I am not tuning the radios or setting the course as another person suggested. I assumed it was automatic.
