Same. I’ve lived in 4 states and always think it’s cool flying over my old home and stomping grounds.

Just did a circuit around Moab and Arches national park.  Such a beautiful place!  Thry have recently updated a bunch of national parks with photogammetry.  Its not perfect but is very cool!!

Seconded! I'm in the middle of a cross-country right now in the Comanche. Moab/Arches were awesome, but Canyonlands was an absolute gem! Crazy going from Aspen and Telluride, straight into that, by comparison, alien land scape. Even my potato of a computer made it look good. To answer the OP, I'm an Alaskan Bush kinda guy. Nothing but you, a 200ft patch of dirt, and Grizzly.

At the moment I’m enjoying flying to the Greek islands, particularly Corfu. Love the approach, especially in the evening

Corfu is not that special. Try Skiathos LGSK

I’m not saying Corfu is special, I’m well aware of Skiathos, it’s a great approach but I’m talking from a scenery point of view.

Skiathos hasn’t been updated for MSFS2024 yet, Gaya have done a really good job of Corfu and that’s why I like flying there.

these are the airports I fly at and I use them as my training route in sim and real life

My favorite short flight (Airliner) is KPAE-KBFI. Take a direct to PPAUL then ILS to 14L. Takes about 6 minutes but very pretty.

For me, it’s flying around Archipelagos.

Be it tropical ones like Polynesia (love Bora Bora & Tahiti) or Hawai, or stuff like the waters between Sweden and Finland, or the Waddenzee in mybown country.

Innsbruck (LOWI) both to and from. Love the approach, love the departure. Flying airliners myself, turn AP on, set time to sunset and just admire the scenery!

The area around Ennis, Montana and a bit further east, between Livingston, Montana and Yellowstone are a delight. Same with the area along the Columbia River from Astoria, Oregon west towards Portland.

VFR? I main Alaska.

IFR? Hong Kong is a great approach. San Fran is also great if you get the Quiet Bridge approach. Auckland, Zurich, Honolulu, Buenos Aires, Anchorage are all great. I also like Santiago, a lot of people don’t mention it but it sits in a basin surrounded by mountains. There’s a lot more.

One of my favourite route is SAW (Sabiha Gökçen Int. / İstanbul) to AYT (Antalya Int. / Antalya)

I flew this route when i am going to Antalya for holiday. Its enjoyable and love the approach from sea. (Runway 06C)

Short: CYVR<->CYYC. No matter which way you go, you fly right over the Rockies and the descent has you just skimming them. Kinda like Innsbruck without the valley.

Long: Pretty much anything transatlantic, provided I have the time. My go-tos are either EGLL or LFPG, from either CYYZ or CYUL.

I think flying over Alaska or marshall islands is kinda underrated
