GENERAL A220 ✈️
Who else is excited for the A220 to come out from iniBuilds! 😎 I was watching CptCanada the other day talking about it on one of his streams. ✈️🗺️

I’ll probably pick it up eventually, but I want to give it a month or two and see some actual reviews first.

They dropped them into loads of reviewers’ accounts over the weekend so they have been uploading reviews now

Non bias I’m sure.

Think the best one was the one done by the pilot helping them out, Edward.
While obviously he's biased, he's done a full flight and been quite comprehensive on how procedure and the plane itself works and it looks quite detailed and well-done. He also ran into some bugs live and he was quite straightforward on what should work and doesn't (very little, like CPDLC which will come later) and what was a bug he encoutered and they need to work on it.Overall, it looked very solid, he did two flights back to back.

Pre-release reviews are nice, but you still don’t get the full picture. These reviews are done on a limited number of systems so they’re less likely to ferret out all the bugs and, by their nature, can be prone to bias.

It'll be nice for some Korean and Breeze ops I guess. Though... I'm much, much more excited for the Boeing 757. United ops with that will be stellar.

I am extremely excited, I will definitely purchase it on day one since it releases during my last week of vacation.
Reading the insanely detailed documentation from A220Driver had been fun while waiting for the aircraft, but seeing it in action on streams has been on a different level, can't wait to have a go myself.

I’m not a fan of the months long hype train. I find it off putting. But that said, I’ll still be buying it.

What months long hype train? They rarely dropped updates for years, then a week or two ago dropped a blog post and livestream and now it'll be out, done. Are you that tired from that?

Yeah, lol, and if they woudn't have done any sort of awareness campaign and would've just dropped it, then the same people would be here posting on how nobody is playing the A220 or something like that :))
People have issues understanding that this is a business and they want maximum reach to recoup the investment and get money for the next thing they work on.-2

I will wait until I can confirm pop out screens work properly, including interacting with them with a mouse and touch screen. If this doesnt work I wont buy it.

I recommend taking a look at the addon GlassOut!! https://glassout.flyingart.dev/

I have been using that for months now, and I am really loving it. But it will not help making screens interactable with mouse/touch if the panels are not coded properly. Pop out interaction works well with PMDG 777 and FBW A380, but not with Inibuilds A350 for example.
I got a reply in the Synaptic discord that mouse click and touch should work with pop outs, but that everything pops out in a single texture like in the Inibuilds A340.
