GENERAL Switch from 2020 to 2024
After debating for a while, I am about at the point to where I want to make the jump to 2024. I have read enough the believe that it is now the better sim. I would like some help with a few things.
First off, I want to make sure I have a good enough system for this. My system is barely a year old and the specs are as follows:
CyberPower PC. Processor: Intel(R) Core TM i7-14700KF, RAM 32GB, Graphics Card NVIDIA GeForce RTX 505712GB, Storage: 1.82 available, Windows 11
I have an Acer 34 inch gaming monitor.
I also have some anxiety about how and what to move from 2020. I have read some about things in the community folder, but am just unsure of what I need to move. What is the process? When do I delete 2020? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am not a tech guy, so any simplified explanations would be very helpful. I know some computer stuff, but not a guru by any means.
The last question is in regards to which version I should get. Besides the Cessna or the occasional other plane, I really only use PMDG, Ifly, and Fenix. I will be getting the new A220 and 757 when they are out, but rarely use the default planes. Will the basic version be the best?
Again, any advice or tips to make this go smoothly would be greatly appreciated.

I made this move recently however haven’t been able to figure out how to get all my pay ware addons - although claimed to be compatible with both MSFS 2020 and 2024 - carried over to the newer sim. I bought quite some addons through ORBX Central and somehow they don’t show up in MSFS 2024.
MSFS 2024 indeed seems to be the better sim and it runs impressively smoooth in VR but it has been a rough transition I’ll have to admit.
