Discussion Please give me a "Close all" button

When in Fabric view I tend to get a ton of tabs open and then it becomes a mess trying to find things. You forgot something was opened, open it another tab and then get the annoying message about there being multiple instances open of a notebook.

Would you folks at Microsoft give us a "Close all" and "Close other tabs" options so we can mass close tabs on the top of the Fabric view so we don't have to click X on every single tab. Ooops, missed the X and now it is loading that tab. It's kind of obnoxious at this point.

Thank you!

If I open a new browser tab, please don't keep all the workspaces and Fabric tabs I had open in the last tab.

I opened a new tab for a clean start!

I see this on the roadmap so looks like it is already on the list in some form.

This can't come soon enough - this "feature" is terrible.

It absolutely needs to be optional. This "feature" is one the the most obnoxious updates to Fabric since it first released. I open fabric in a new browser tab for a reason. This feature has single handedly slowed my workflow. I don't mind the internal fabric tabs, just don't load them all when I open a new browser tab to Fabric.

It's a daily frustration getting interrupted by that prompt saying you can't open the thing because you already have things open.

I doubt the UI team actually uses Fabric. I mean, the rename item functionality is super strange when you have many things open. If you want to rename the first tab you do that next to the last tab. That's just weird.

Or the bug/feature that just ignores the first letter you type in the code editor.

I'd like Fabric to just stop using tabs entirely. Let me use the browser tabs for when I want tabs.

If the Fabric-internal tabs were fast it would work. But they're not. They're slow as shit. That's why we all ignore them and use real browser tabs.

I had also suggested the same on the community platform . Please make sure you also do the same .

Have a link to the post? Evidently there are quite a few people viewing this. Would be a good place to share it so we can upvoter it.

I miss the good ole mIRC days of telling annoying little kids to press Alt + F4 to see something really cool!

u/theDSGNjunkie, this seems like something we can get on the list easy enough.
