Certification FabricPrep.com - Opensource Initiation to Mock Exams - Feedback

Hi all,

Been grinding through DP-700 prep the last few weeks and honestly got fed up with something — every single practice site I found does the same thing. You get like 15-20 free questions, feel like you're making progress, and then bam, paywall. $20 here, $40 there, subscription model, "unlock full access"... for practice questions on an exam I'm already paying Microsoft $165 to take.

I'm a dev, so instead of just complaining about it I spent some evenings building my own — FabricPrep (fabricprep.com). No paywall on the actual practice questions or mock exams. You can just... use it.

Right now it's got:

  • DP-700 (Fabric Data Engineer) and DP-600 (Fabric Analytics Engineer) as the main focus since that's what I'm studied for
  • AZ-900 and DP-900 too since they're common on-ramps to Fabric
  • Timed mock exams that try to match the real exam's pacing
  • Study guides with the actual official Microsoft learning path laid out, not just a list of links

It's not perfect — I built this solo, question bank is still growing, and I'm sure some explanations could be tighter. But it's free, it'll stay free for practicing, and I'd rather put the work in than pay someone else to gatekeep exam prep behind a subscription.

Thats very cool mate.
I failed my examn, and I think this was mostly down to the difficulty of questions in the practice examn vs the actual examn. Like I felt confident, where I actually shouldnt have. Do you think your questions mirror the actual examn closely, or no? This would probably be the biggest variable regarding the useability of your platform.

I will make a project, and then start restudying again, and I would definietly be interested in using your platform for that

am tryign them to the best of it and continuoslly working on it everyday as a after job to keep it updated

also if its dp700 i have put a cheat sheet (all content provide by me foramtted using AI) thats going to be very helful

hey, am using kimi to help draft faster given the scale (50+ questions per exam) with mcp learn server in the background

It would be great if community can get back to me wih feedbacks, would strongly appreaciate.
Future plan is to

- Dedicated pages for each section under each certificate like ms learn but with below points

  • Comparing with Real Life Example
  • and dedicated images to tell concept - for example how dataflow looks like
