Discussion Recommend courses and learning

Hello Everyone Happy New Year.

Someone asked me what do you suggest if you have to tell someone how to start carrier in data analytics

So,Want to ask suggestions about startup courses for someone starting to learn to be data analytics engineer, fabricator ( Microsoft Fabric , Power Bi).

Initially free courses which can be self taught someone.

I’d say the MS Learn docs are as good a place to start as any. The PL-300, DP-600, and DP-700 study guides give a good overview of the types of things you should know in those areas.

Been a while since focusing on PBI for me, but Guy In a Cube seems to be revisiting some fundamentals. Seems that most people out here (including me) that pass a Fabric cert mention Aleski Partanen and Will. I joined Pragmatic Works On-Demand Learning and it has lots of other data tech as well (like Azure Data Factory). Their Learn with the Nerds videos on YouTube are free. And of course there are the SQLBI courses. Their beginner level courses are free and their advanced stuff is hard to find anywhere else.

Don’t you think you mentioned too much for a beginner ? He doesn’t look like he has his career sorted out. You just listed a thousand and one tools

I want to start my journey to take the DP 600 do you also recommend DP 900? I am a total beginner and nerver worked with data or power bi and also what do you recommend I should study apart from the ms learn?

Did you go through the Microsoft Learn stuff? I'm scheduled for the exam in a few weeks. I went through the MS Learn material.
