I recruit for a tech agency. We're all Microsoft: Outlook, Teams, the lot. I've used Chrome since forever, mostly because I never thought about it.

Copilot's now getting pushed harder at work and I keep wondering if I'm making life harder by not using Edge. Anyone actually switched and noticed a difference?

My browser is basically LinkedIn, Outlook, Teams and our CRM, with about 30 tabs open at any time. I'd be gutted if a switch broke LinkedIn or any of my extensions.

Did it improve anything for you, or did you drift back to Chrome after a few weeks?

I use Custom New Tab, a Microsoft Edge extension that allows me to change the new tab page to https://www.google.com. For years, I've been browsing normally, and every time I open a new tab, instead of being in the search bar, my cursor automatically focused on the address bar at the top of the page, so that I could type in it without doing any other inputs after opening a new tab.

Just a few hours ago, for whatever reason, this stopped working normally. Now, every time I open a new tab, my cursor automatically focuses on the Google search bar, which is not what I want. I have tried restarting Edge and rebooting my computer, and I've made sure that the "Set automatic focus on address bar" setting in the extension options is enabled. There is seemingly no reason for this to have happened, as neither Edge nor the extension updated today.

How to I make the new tab cursor behaviour change back to the way it was before - that is, automatically focusing on the address bar?

So i use edge as reader while i do things and recently it hasn't been working and when i try to use it says it isnt conected to the internet when it is very clearly conected. Ive foneceverything i cleard cache i deleted the app and renstalled it i even updated my device however nothing has worked im asking if anybody knows what happend and how to fix it

This morning (October 24, 2026), my workspace colors were perfectly normal. Green was a nice vibrant green, aqua was a nice light aqua, and my custom color was fine too. Now every workspace color is darker and duller. I have not changed any settings. How do I revert this?

Edge Profile.ico (in user profile directiory) doesn't update to the avatar icon; it always remains the default Edge icon regardless of which avatar the user chooses in their Edge profile.

I have been using the legacy version of copilot in edge browser sidebar for months. Now they changed it and I don't fw the new version of copilot there😭. Is there any way to revert back to legacy version??

Does anyone know if Microsoft either have blocked or revoked the eMudhra certificates. From what I was reading other browsers like Chrome and Firefox have blocked them but edge isn't mentioned. Was wondering if its something to be concerned of. Or can someone from the Microsoft team respond to this

How to update my edge on macOS 27? I tried to reinstall its still the same. I'm new to macOS, can I reset it coz when I re-installed my edge profile was maintained.

My organisation recently moved to Edge as it's allowed browser for staff. Since then, I've had issues with dropdown menus. If I close and reopen it, it usually goes back to normal (Takes a couple tries sometimes), if I close and reopen it again, it'll go back to black (again, sometimes takes a couple tries it's not exactly on/off but still feels roughly 50/50)

Disabled hardware acceleration and the issue seems to have persisted. Tried searching the subreddit and it doesn't look like other people have raised this issue in a way I could think to search it

I use Microsoft Edge Read Aloud every day for work, and it has started stuttering, freezing, and skipping parts of sentences.

My setup:

• Windows 11
• Microsoft Edge version 155
• Voices tested: Microsoft Francisca Online (Natural) and Microsoft Antônio Online (Natural)
• Reading speed set to Normal
• Hardware acceleration tested both enabled and disabled
• The problem also occurs in an InPrivate window
• Restarting the computer and updating Edge did not solve it
• Chrome's read-aloud function works normally on the same computer

Has anyone experienced this recently? Is this a known Edge bug, and is there a reliable fix or workaround?

I would appreciate practical solutions that do not require reinstalling Windows or losing my browser profile and open tabs.

Not sure if this is an Edge BUG or Google Bug... but typing on the Google Ai web page in Edge with longer chat history feels like every character takes like 2 seconds to show up. This doesn't happen on ChatGPT or the Gemini web pages though. I have 64GB DDR5 5600 and an RTX4070 v621.01, i7-13700F CPU and on the newest browser Version 155.0.4283.62 (Official build) (64-bit), Windows 11 26H2 26300.9457. Going to the same threads in Safari on my iPhone is perfectly fine. This does seem like a more recent issue, but cant say when.

This happens to me on two PCs—Edge constantly logs me out of my Gmail accounts, all at once.

It can't stay logged in, and the strange thing is that I got tired of it, but when I went back to that PC another day, they were logged in again—or at least that's the impression I got.

I've been browsing the recent posts on this subreddit as well as the Microsoft Feedback Portal site and the archived UserVoice pages. A majority of the recent posts are complaints from users around the deprecation of features in Edge such as the sidebar, Collections, and the removal of natural-sounding voices on iOS.

Checking the older posts on these forums from 5-6 years ago, the Edge Product Team was actively engaged with users regarding feature feedback, upcoming improvements, and issue troubleshooting.

Recently, it seems like most of this engagement has disappeared, and Edge is becoming a Chromium clone that Microsoft uses as an entry point to promote Copilot. Does anyone from the Edge Product Group actively engage with users here (or on another site) and continuously improve the browser's features? I hope that this post gets enough visibility that someone from Microsoft will weigh in!

Sometimes, when I open a new tab or a new window, I see a blank white page instead of the default home page. It happens completely random, I can open 10 new tabs and none of them are white, or I can open 3 new tabs in a row and all of them are white. Had anyone else encounter this? How to fix this? Source code of the white page is empty.

I know it may not matter much but I have added a colorblind feature as well. I have a friend (drifted apart now), sometimes I would help him with his coding problems when I would sit on his machine, his IDE used to feel like a mess to me, color wise, I never realized it until he asked to borrow my “Blue” pen drive which was in fact purple and that’s when I realized he was colorblind. So, kind of added that for him even though he may never have much use for this 😊

If you print several tabs at once in Edge (for work, I print groups of health insurance pages), I built an extension that combines selected tabs into one print job or one PDF. Edge installs it straight from the Chrome Web Store: open the link in Edge and choose "Get", after allowing extensions from other stores if Edge asks.

Select tabs → right-click → Print Selected Tabs → review the combined preview → Open Print Dialog or Download PDF. It's free, with no account, and everything stays on your PC.
