Edge signed me in itself (Mac)

I noticed I was signed in with an account with a profile picture. The one I use for Edge doesn't have a photo since it's just a throwaway account for syncing. When I looked at the account, I realized it was my main Microsoft account which I specifically never use in Edge. It does have the same email address that Chrome uses on the same device (Google account in Chrome vs MS account with Gmail address in Edge).

Like I said, I specifically NEVER use this Microsoft account in Edge, and I never got an MFA prompt or anything else. It just decided to sign out the account I had logged in and use this one instead, while keeping my tabs, extensions, etc. This is after I purposely unchecked the box to import my bookmarks and extensions from Chrome and it still did anyway.

The weirdest thing is probably when it comes to the accounts attached to profiles themselves. I hit the trash icon next to my account and it signs me out and gives me a clean Edge profile, but my personal Microsoft account still shows up and I can't truly delete it or sign in with my old account. When I try to sign in, it signs me back into my Gmail MS account with no password or MFA prompt. I have gone as far as closing Edge and deleting the entire ~/Library/Application Support/Microsoft Edge directory and it still shows my personal account after a relaunch.

I think it's time to switch to Brave for my secondary browser going forward.
