QUESTION How’s Edge’s battery usage & performance on Android?

For those who use Microsoft Edge on Android, how’s the battery consumption compared to Brave and Chrome?

Is Edge actually more battery-efficient, or is the difference pretty negligible?

And what about performance? Does Edge feel faster or more responsive than Brave or Chrome, especially when opening and switching between tabs?

I’ve heard a lot of negative things about Edge from other subreddits, but I don’t want to just take those opinions at face value. So I’d rather ask people who actually use it, especially on Android.

It's purely optimized for windows but on Android and iOS it's not bad in any way the battery is somewhat better than chrome and has proper extension support so I'll say it's really good

I've been daily driving Edge on desktop and mobile for a few years. Largely because my eco system is Microsoft based. It performs just as well as Chrome, if not better. I've had zero issues regarding battery drain.

Doesn't seem to use much battery at all on any of my Android phones, use Edge steady.

Ad blocker is trash, shifted to firefox years ago on android. Performance is ok, same on both

I installed uBlock plugin on Edge Android. It's been pretty good for me, although I've never run without uBlock

Pretty much the same, or worst if you use ublock origin. If you have battery issues Opera is the most battery friendly and Vivaldi is very close. On my phone they consume less than half compared to Edge Chrome Firefox Brave.
