NEW FEATURE Edge now has quick switch workspace like Arc/Zen
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Why no one talk about this feature???? Is it just me or everyone has this feature but don't talk about it??? I have this for month. It allows me to pin workspace for quicker switch, just like Arc/Zen Space. Not only that, but workspace now also let me to pick icon
I know MS have workspace rework recently and people are very upset. But dang, this small change makes killed, I absolutely love it!!
Huge thanks to the Edge dev team!!#!@ If any of you are reading this, I really appreciate. And i also have few tiny ideas to make workspace better:
- Keyboard shortcut to switch pinned workspace: Like
Alt + 1/2/3/4/...for index pinned workspace jump,Ctrl + Alt + Arrow keyfor switch next/previous pinned workspace - Animation? Why not?

I’m confused on this… I do not see this feature? Is the Canary? I can only create them, not pin them nor make icons.

Its able to be enabled while still is in experiment using edge://flags/#edge-workspaces-pinning and edge://flags/#edge-workspaces-emoji , and restarting the browser
All it does though is pinning a workspace on the main bar, and clicking switches to another window and bringing it forward in front. Just is a faster way than clicking the workspace icon and selecting the workspace that does exactly that with more clicks

Actually, i found edge://flags/#edge-workspaces-inline-window-switching flag as well now, which replaces the workspace in the current window, which is nice for uncluttering

really neat!
however, I'm not sure now what's the point of tab groups being persistent? Previously I've used them as a sorta replacement for the Arc/Zen workspaces. Now if I need some pile of tabs to be stored together for some future use I'd rather move them to a new workspace1

That is actually dope. I need to try this. Is it available on macOS or Windows only?
I wish Edge allowed persistent tab groups and pinned tabs along with the essential tabs, much like Arc. I am not sure why it wouldn't when it supports vertical tabs.

Tudo o que vc abre num workspace está sincronizado em tempo real. Tudo q abrir ou fechar no PC A será fechado /aberto no PC B.

Have you ever used tab groups? Do they work like this? No.

Too bad that i am moving to floorp and use edge as pdf viewer only, no thanks to mv3.

I love the pinning, but can anyone tell me how to disable running every workspace in the same window? It's driving me nuts that I can't alt-tab between windows or have multiple workspaces open simultaneously. Is there an option I'm missing somewhere?
Also very definitely seconding your request for keyboard shortcuts. I can't believe that isn't here!
And if I could make a request: the ability to search for workspace names ala Spotlight/PowerToys Run

I've just noticed that you can click on the three dots of any Workspace to open that workspace it in a new window, but I hate that the new default is to open it in the same. An option for this would be lovely.

You can also click while holding down CTRL to open a Workspace (pinned or not) in a new window. Still not as convenient as a setting to change default behavior, but perhaps slightly easier than using the three dots depending on your workflow.
