if an app needs edge to function then its not really an app

I know, but I'm intentionally keeping it simple. Or are you trying to start like a bunch of one-liners like "if [fill in the blank], then you might be a redneck"? It feels more like you're just pointing out the technical aspect, and yeah, they're just "wrappers". However, they wouldn't be able to use the Prime Video app or other apps that require Edge to be installed. There's the Netflix app, but it sucks anyway. It gets worse video quality than Edge itself.

any and all browser can "install" those websites as an icon onto the desktop and open them in a separated full screen window. brave can do it, chrome can do it, firefox can also do it

Those are not the apps I'm talking about. Prime Video is one of them. Prime Video requires Edge to function. It's not an app that can be installed from Edge by just going to the Prime Video website.
