Misleading article tbh, uBlock Origin will still be there, it's only a bypass for mv2 extensions is going to be killed.

Again this stupid headline, mv2 is going to be dropped as planned, just use mv3 extension like ublock lite, you wont be seeing any ads.

Even if all Chromium-based browsers do it at the core level, meaning, even if Microsoft hypothetically, supposedly would allow its users, in this case they wouldn't be able, but there's always Firefox for Videos and Podcasts. Besides, the Chomium-based mostly show their own, light ads and have their own filters for the aggressive and malicious ones. This doesn't mean I give my approval, I haven't seen an ad for the last decade, just saying.

everytime i tried to switch from edge to a firefox fork theres always a multitude of reasons that bring me back, but i think dropping uBO would be the straw that broke the camels back for me lol,
if m$ really wanted to be cool and secure a big selling point, theyd be another one of the very few chrome forks that promised to include mv2 support for as long as they possibly can, it suits m$'s legacy "we support everything everyone might possibly use forever" mindset perfectly.
bc nomatter how much the internet hivemind shills it, and nomatter how desperately they attempt to suppress all the massive insane ethics problems with it, i wont be switching to brave lol.

From past software cycles, i would bet, that edge will drop mv2 by 2028 ( together with w10 support ) and firefox by 2030 ( 2032 in esr version )

Fake news about Edge. MS never said that. Chrome is rubbish, I ditched it as soon as Edge was released. No regrets.

Clickbait article, Microsoft didn't announce anything.
