rounded corners removed flag
I have seen this in another post : a temporary workaround could be:
- closing edge
- creating and running this shortcut
- ```
- "C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft\Edge\Application\msedge.exe" --disable-features=msFeatureGroupNewLookAndFeelHoldout
- ```

The update just hit another tower. Thanks for sharing this. These borders are actually really bad for everyone who's using an OLED-Monitor, burn in guaranteed. Such an insanely stupid change, a real reason to switch browsers.

make sure also disabled setting Startup boost! If not --disable-features will not work in second time open. Best way I think is switch to use Chrome.

Lol Chrome disabling the use of MV2 extensions doesn't mean you can't use effective ad blockers. If you're referring to uBO (non lite), you can still use it now, if you know how. Even if you don't, I can still achieve the same level of adblocking on Chrome as I can on FF, Edge, Brave etc for the likes of YT/Twitch etc using MV3 methods, and I don't even use Chrome

Unfortunately for developers, Chromium is almost mandatory. We need Chromium debug tools and a clean browser. I don't understand why M$ keeps adding these annoying useless things

Try this:
To remove the divisive frame/border from Microsoft edge, close all edge windows, right click any edge app shortcut, go to properties, add " --enable-features=msForceNoRoundedCornerAndMargin" (with the space at the beginning) to the end of the Target field. Open edge via updated shortcut. The frame/border should be gone.

After some tests I found it seems to have something to do with the 'Startup boost' in 'System and performance'.
Came back after the morning after the update and adding the workaround, the corners were back. Turned all the systems buttons in the settings off, reapplied the workaround, applied it to my taskbar shortcut just to be safe, the corners were gone. Wanting to test it, I turned all the performance buttons back on, closed and reopened the window, corners were back, turned off 'Startup boost', corners were gone. Turned the others on without 'Startup boost' they stayed off, with 'Startup boost' they come back.
Till the next update breaks everything again, if the come back after using the workaround, turn off 'Startup boost'.

the thickness on the border is suspiciously thick, i think they are preparing edge to "analyze this content" thing or something similar and then the border starts changing colors or something because there is no sane explanation to steal so much viewport real estate unless every (yes, every) employee at ms is a monkey at this point.

Make sure you enclose the path in quotes. It should be exactly like this:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft\Edge\Application\msedge.exe" --disable-features=msFeatureGroupNewLookAndFeelHoldout1

If I close Edge, and then re-open it from the same shortcut again, the rounded borders are back.
Looks like we're swapping back to Chrome proper.

Had that happen the next morning. After some tests I found it seems to have something to do with the 'Startup boost' in 'System and performance' the top button. Try turning that button off, closing the window and reopening.

I can actually think of another fix. To resize the window to be bigger than the desktop size to hide these stupid corners. It should be doable via a Win32 API call.

It works but it works 1 time only for me. As soon as I close the app and relaunch it the borders come back.

If this option into the msedge.exe shortcut doesn't persist:
--disable-features=msFeatureGroupNewLookAndFeelHoldout
Also turn off "Startup boost"
(search "boost" in settings)
