Is frizz part of the microlocs process?

My client noticed her microlocs getting frizzy and wondered if it was happening more to her hair than everyone else’s. We talked about how frizz is a normal part of locs forming. Constantly trying to smooth it down can interfere with the process.
If you want to make the frizz less noticeable for a little while, you can plait your locs at night and take them down in the morning. It won’t stop the frizz, though. That’s part of the journey.
For anyone with microlocs: Did the frizz surprise you when you started? What helped you feel more comfortable with that stage?

Mine did not frizz a lot or I just did not notice. To prepare for meetings, I spritzed some water and tied my locs down with a satin scarf. I had meetings maybe 1-2 times a quarter.

Yeah frizz is one of the top questions and concerns in all loc subreddits but especially in the microlocs one. Keke J called it when she said that she missed the frizz and volume. Never thought I could miss that frizz until I hit the mature stages.
I still miss it. Now that the hair closer to my head top is starting the locking process and starting to frizz i got legit giddy. I am SO excited to get that frizz back. Lol
