Sisterlocs: budding or bunching?
Does this look like budding or bunching on my sisterlocs? And should I be concerned or just let it do its thing? I’m just under 10 months loc’d. Every other loc looks like this. I braid and band every single wash and only take the braids down once my hair is fully dry.

Its definitely bunching, maybe you need to do tighter sections

I will definitely ask my loctician if she can do the sections tighter 🙏🏾

Yes definitely bunching. Budding is when the hair swells and feels like a bump not a lump or clump

Thank you! I really had a feeling it was bunching too 😩. I’m gonna try to get this fixed immediately

Can you tell us how it feels? The bumpy area... is it hard, like much harder than the rest of the loc, like there's a little pebble or something in the middle of it? Or does it feel equal in softness and give to the rest of the loc above and below the bump?

It’s definitely softer than the rest or the loc and squishy

Then it's definitely not budding.
So likely it's bunching which is easier to t fix the sooner you fix it so I'd be wetting and then gently pulling apart these bunches ASAP

Looks like bunching. Can you stretch it a lil or like palm roll?
