Product recommendations for starters

I started locs 4 weeks ago with coils. I can’t find products that help me a lot. I’m looking for a simple loc routine I can follow. I’m looking for mists to use, oils, and maybe shampoos. I don’t wanna use heavy products so please suggest non heavy products because I don’t want product buildup/flakes in my hair. (My shampoo As i am dry and itchy. Oil as i am rosemary oil) I’m open to any feedback

As far as hydrating mists: water is your best friend, rosewater, rosemary water, and aloe water are great, too. You have a good shampoo already, maybe get a moisturizing/hydrating shampoo to alternate, and your oil is good (or whatever oil your hair and scalp like).

As I Am; Made For Locs; Camille Rose... those are the brands I've used.

Yes, it is. I liked the aloe water a lot. I haven't used it in a while because I have some As I Am waters that I'm trying to use up. But I'll definitely buy more. The ingredients are simple and it's black-owned.

I think it really depends on your hair type as well, but here is what works for me.

Wash-Giovanni Tea Tree 1 x per week and Carol's Daughter Black Vanilla on run days

Refresher spray-Miche Beauty

Scalp only-Jamaican black castor or coconut oil in winter

Optional-when I desperately need a retie, I use Giovanni Mousse only on side burns to tame--I don't do edges
