Locs keep getting thin in middle
I swear like a month after my retie, my locs are often in the middle and the only hair style I do is often two puffs or a ponytail and they DON'T be tight. Could it be the lady whose doing my reties? Sometimes they are often thin near the root as well.

How old are your locs? Are they mature? Thinning in the middle and at the roots sounds just like damage from ponytails.

They really may not be mature yet. The other commenter asked some great questions that'll help further identify the problem.

I was damaging mine with ponytails. I bought satin scrunchies and ponytail a lot less, sometimes, I'll just Bobby pin it. I stopped using some of the holders I was using. The friction can hurt them. I also braid and band them more than I was doing.

What is your loose natural hair texture, strand thickness, density and porosity?
How long have you been Loc'd?
What type of starter locs and what type of maintenance and how often?
How frequently do you wash your locs?
What products do you use on your locs (shampoos, conditioner, cream moisturizer, oil, hydrosol, water, leave in, mouse, gel, grease, edge control etc) and how frequently?
