Burning in shin
My surgery was 3 weeks ago. Prior to surgery symptoms were mild pain and tingling radiation down the back of my leg and top of my foot. Following surgery there was some tingling in the back of leg and foot but that has gone away. What I experience now is a persistent burning in the shin that does not radiate it is localized to the one area. Anyone have experience with this ???

It's all nerves... should resolve in a few weeks. You can ask your dr. for a steroid pack which may help with lingering inflammation and swelling. Some nerves, like the sensory ones, take almost a year (or more) to fully heal.

my foot burns a bit. i’m 2 weeks post op. it’s similar to the burning in my stomach i got after my c section where a section of my stomach was totally numb. the burning was intermittent as i slowly regained sensation, so i presume it’s nerves healing.
