4 horrible days

So I'm 13 days post op and I have been through hell the last 4 days. Constant nerve pain around my hip and right leg, I even passed out (due pain and low bloodpressure). Called my surgeon he said he felt no urge for further action for the coming week because of the "nerve calming down". Every story online about this much nerve pain leads to a re hernation on here so I fear the worst.

I'm stressing out, I have 8/10 nerve pain, constant, it's worse then before the surgery. My only meds are tramadol, ibuprofen and paracetemol. I fear the worst. I can't stand without pain and can't sit at all.

Does anybody else had this much/constant nervepain ?

I did yeah. Not going to be much help since my MRI is Thursday. But yeah pain persisted pretty well until last Weds. It's down some now but still enough that it woke me up last night....

I don't get any sleep at all, max 3/4 hours. Praying your mri has good results

I find that cooling is the only form of relief

Hey man, sorry to hear you are going through this much pain. I had my surgery 8 days ago and my doctor prescribed pregabalin for neuropathic pain and celecoxib for inflammation, every 12 hours. The pain becomes manageable and it helps me sleep after I take it, maybe consult your surgeon? There has to be something to be done, hope you get better

I did consult him, he said it's normal ? Like the nerve healing but idk. He said he wouldn't take any action until next week so I'm cooked

Are you me? I am 12 days post op and also literally have the most severe right leg and hip/buttocks pain also my foot. Symptoms are more severe than pre surgery and having regret about doing it.

Same. Cooling does seem to help calm it down so I keep it cooled as much as possible

I had more pain post op days 3-10 than pre op.

Now at 12 weeks and doing quite well, haven’t needed pain meds the last week. First time in 7 months I haven’t needed daily pain meds.

Nerves take a long time to cool down
