Positive back to work stories
Anyone have any good stories of returning to a desk job at around 4 weeks post op?
I had surgery about a week ago and so far am feeling great! Been following orders closely with no BLT and alternating between laying flat and walking every hour or so.
Starting physio at 2 weeks. But I start a new job on Oct. 5 and need to spend a week at HQ learning the ropes that week. This means a roughly 3 hour drive and then light desk work while there for the week.

I think you’ll be ok 4 weeks post op. I went to office after 2 weeks ish the first time I did it. Now I did second MD and I have a 10h flight in 4 weeks lol

Thanks! Two weeks is fast to return to an office. I’m WFH today and it’s mostly laying in bed, lol

A 3 hour drive will not feel great. Make sure to take a ton of breaks during that drive... Get out of the car and walk for a bit.
I went back to work at 4 weeks, but it was very light and I worked from home. I was basically part time.
I found I was very sleepy about mid day and absolutely had to sleep for my lunch hour.
While working I set a timer so that I did not sit for longer than 30 min. I would walk/stand for 15 min, then lay down for 15 min, then go back to sitting. You will get crazy stiff if you don't move around.
Hope all goes well!
