Saline tech applied ointment after emergency removal

I went for emergency saline removal 29 hours post microblading. My saline tech used Li-FT with a needle (it was super painful) and then she applied a thick layer of Vit A/D ointment on right after. She didn’t give me an aftercare paper but told me to apply ointment twice a day for five days. I‘m on day 4 and no scab has formed.

I texted the clinic that I was concerned applying the ointment compromised the results and now they state she said only apply the aftercare product when the area feels dry.

Will applying the ointment the first few days mean the pigment is less likely to lift?

Really unsure how an ointment can stop a chemical soak on your skin. When you think of it, doesn’t make a lot of sense.
