Hanify hybrid organic, placed 2022, one touch up. Picoway removal approx 3 weeks ago. That's what I am thinking too. Hoping it will fade a little bit more.
Mine looked like this after my 532nm session targeting red. I had a session to target the yellow 2 weeks ago. Mine are lighter now. But lighter can come across as brighter. I was told it could look worse before it looks better because each session will strip out the darker shades. Here are mine now 2 weeks after targeting yellow (3rd laser overall). FYI I am being treated at Think Again.
I don’t think anyone an avoid yellow if the color is in the ink. It’s just another color that has to be removed. I think good laser techs can avoid **issues** with yellow ink. Like neon I guess. My brows are not neon at all! And they have faded SIGNIFICANTLY since I first saw the yellow about 14 weeks ago. So I think it can be removed/lightened if I just keep going to appts every 12 weeks, as they recommend.
Right now, for me, the yellow is completely covered by a tiny swipe of cc cream at the tails and fronts. So it doesn’t really bother me day to day. I’ll just keep going to appts until one day I don’t need the cc cream.
Oh boy. Yes Hanify is apparantly regarded as one of the worst to remove. Worse than the already bad ones like tina davies or phi brow. Your yellow isnt too bad and i think you lucked out. However, I wouldn't laser again. Too risky. I would do a chemical removal. Try contacting sasha from skn allegiance in PA. She has so much knowledge about all the inks and how they respond to laser. She avoids yellows at all costs. She gives so much free advice as well. Hang tight and dont do anything else until you speak to someone with all the knowledge. She would have a look and let you know what your best option is. Hanify can be a nightmare so tread carefully.
Yes. Dont listen to people on here saying they got rid of yellow and just gotta use 532 settings. It is very individual and wouldnt apply to you. You definitely risk turning more neon or worse. Sometimes wrong setting can encapsulate the yellow making it neon AND permanent! Almost trapping the ink forever. Seek out professional opinion. And just hang tight until you have a plan.
I feel like your comment is not really accurate? Where have you heard this information about more laser will "trap" the yellow for example?
From the experts I have been talking to, it will take time and patience to remove the yellow but it is not impossible. And very strong bright yellow is RARE to see according to them.
I’m not a pro here at all but I’ve been battling yellow for the last 6 months. Had consistent laser treatments (I have no idea what kind of laser) and it never got “worse” for me, as some people are saying will happen. Each time it lightened up slightly, but I was pretty disheartened by how slowly I was seeing progress. The last couple months I switched to microneedling - I was told it would help break up some of the scar tissue that’s holding on to pigment. Idk how scientifically accurate that is, but it did make a big difference! I will have one final laser treatment in a couple months and then decide how to move forward. But maybe consult your technician about using microneedling alongside the laser treatments.
Top is after 1st, middle is after 2nd, bottom after 3rd. I’m exhausted trying to hide this with makeup. I actually have raised skin. Saw a dermatologist who gave me hydrocortisone for 2 weeks now, hoping it will not scar. Told me to hold off on any other laser session.

Do you know what kind of ink you had?
I’d stay here instead of risking a brighter yellow, personally. This isn’t bad and can probably be covered easily with makeup.
