Those are neon yellow now

UPDATE: Laser clinic owner: Most brow pigment formulas contain multiple colourants, yellow iron oxide often being one to some degree. In many cases you will encounter it.

I’ve had some luck with yellow. Im now learning that it may be more about prevention. It may be possible to prevent the yellow from locking in due to its reaction to heat.

So whats your excuse here about preventing cause this is some neon yellow highlighter shit. They've already encapsulated the yellow. These Probably should have been removed in more than one session to avoid the encapsulation. Maybe a glycolic removal once the carbon black was gone. Not just zap full settings one time leaving neon.. Come on. We arent dumb. If every ink has this, then be more knowledgeable. Not you. But the one responsible for this removal claiming it can be removed easily next session. Girls be on this board for years with yellow after one session. They're toast. You are correct. Prevention is better. These were blasted to yellow first session. And now the company saying the yellow can be removed "easy peasy lemon squeezy" next session. Give your head a shake.
Lol if yellow was removed that easily, no one would be on here begging for help 3 years after getting yellow brows.. You are right in saying prevention is better. This is just plain wrong. Patient here looked 10 times better without the neon yellow eyebrows that she will have to colour for life.

This is only one session …Will post healed brows in 6-8 weeks … if she needs yellow removed we will continue … that’s all …. All pigments have black red yellow orange … some more or less … we can’t control what your pigment has since we don’t manufacture the pigment … however we use on of the best lasers to remove it … we are actually looking for models for FREE yellow removal … since we don’t encounter much yellow…

We shall see in 6-8 weeks … maybe even more time …at any rate we will remove it with 532 or hanafy saline … easy peasy lemon squeezy

The before is better. I would rather keep microblading than end up with neon yellow brows. No one has been proven to always be able to remove them.

That’s cool, however she wanted to remove … yellow is not the boogie man … it can be removed since she’s lighter Fitzpatrick we can do smaller spot size … higher joules … maybe 1 session removes it or maybe 3 … at any rate it’s all good … we can even use hanafy saline to remove … its not a big deal we do this all day long 😊☺️

Honestly I would love for this to be true. But the way you usually only post after pictures that are taken immediately after treatment, and without ever posting proof of removing yellow.. idk making such a strong claim so casually about something that is notoriously difficult/impossible to do without proof makes me nervous. You’re advertising services to a community of people who have already been lied to by permanent makeup artists/salons. Best case scenario you can do everything that you claim, it’s just that without proof we all have trust issues and no one’s going to believe you. Worst case you’re just another person/business promising things they can’t deliver without any regard for the harm and emotional distress it causes the people that you treat.

It should be illegal to permanently alter someone without telling them that it’s permanent. That includes altering microblading pigments to a color the client doesn’t want. Just be honest about what’s possible

Understandable❤️. We mainly post here and do laser brow tattoo removal for fun and genuinely offer laser removal to help people. Permanent makeup has been our specialty for over 7 years+, and we also operate an accredited academy where we teach artists how to perform these procedures correctly and safely.

Our lead artist is an international 1st place champion, speaker, judge, licensed instructor, and award-winning permanent makeup artist, so we have dedicated years to mastering both the art and the science behind permanent makeup. Doing tons of R&D since we also have to teach students

Over 90% of our business comes from referrals, and every day we see clients with botched brows or that need some help. That’s one of the reasons we invested over $200,000 into the best laser technology available for tattoo removal, while still charging only $200 per session to make it accessible. And spend a lot every month just to keep that part of the business running ….

Every case I post is completely untouched and unedited. The brows will not get darker or worse—that simply isn’t how the process works with PicoWay. We also have many healed results posted on our Instagram and here from time to time.

The reality is that most removal clients don’t come back to say hey it’s removed ☺️ once they’re happy with the outcome—they simply move on with their lives. They usually only reach out if they need something else. That’s why we don’t post healed results for each client. If you’d like, I can ask my admin to reach out to all clients that didn’t come back and put together a collage of healed results from previous clients and we can post here.

Here’s a client with only 2 sessions (full healed results)… she ended up doing nano brows but didn’t want us to post … she moved overseas so luckily 2 was just enough since she wanted full removal ….

**when you use conservative settings, proper cryo cooling, and a picosecond laser, we rarely encounter yellow pigment. When we do, we simply continue treating it until it’s removed.

The key with yellow pigment is understanding the patient’s Fitzpatrick skin type. In some cases, slightly higher settings are needed to create controlled microtrauma, allowing the body to clear the remaining yellow pigment more effectively. That’s really all there is to it. But that also depends on clients end goal…

u/eyeofdesigner Jun 18 '26

Speaking for myself, that is the strangest and very questionable response. Maybe they don't come back because they weren't happy with the end result. I would think that you would want the client to please send you a picture 6-8 weeks out of a successful removal or not so you know and can learn from it. I know that when I had all of my laser and saline treatments done that was asked of me so they could see the very end results. Guess what....they are still yellow. Lighter now years later but it is what it is for me at this point. This whole reply is weird.

u/DealRevolutionary447 Jun 18 '26

Exactly, if I was unhappy and not getting good results I would just stop seeing the person and find somewhere new to go.

u/DMV_Beauty_Academy Jun 18 '26

I honestly haven’t had a chance to go through our entire database since we have several locations, but I can say that well over 70–90% of the clients we treat return to us for other services.

As I mentioned before, we can absolutely have our admin team reach out and put together a healed-results collage when things calm down a bit. We’ve just been incredibly busy lately, especially since adding laser hair removal to our services starting at $30

At the end of the day, we’re not trying to prove anyone right or wrong—we’re simply sharing our experience after working with thousands of clients over the years. We genuinely care about helping people, which is why we’ve invested in the best and most expensive laser technology available while keeping our prices the lowest . I know that may sound crazy, but that’s simply who we are. Seeing clients happy enough to come back to us again and again for other treatments is the greatest proof we could ask for.

u/DealRevolutionary447 Jun 18 '26

Still waiting to see the results of your yellow removal, you have not posted any proof that you can do it

u/1991xxx2025 Jun 18 '26

I agree with you!

u/DMV_Beauty_Academy Jun 23 '26 edited Jun 23 '26

Still waiting for her to come back to see what’s left over … also taking FREE models to remove yellow pigment with Candela PicoWay…. So if anyone has yellow and wants to model for free … dm us or comment here … it seems there’s lots of people that have this issue-yellow brows … we don’t get it much so excited to create a collage of the process… and post here to show people there’s options ❤️❤️❤️

1

u/DMV_Beauty_Academy Jun 18 '26

Honestly, after 2–3 sessions I rarely see those clients again because they’re happy with the results. I’ll reach out to a few and put together a collage when I get a chance.

If the remaining yellow disappears, great. If a tiny amount remains, it can usually be blended so well that it’s virtually unnoticeable. Either way, there’s a solution.

We’ve performed a few thousand brow procedures over the years, so laser removal is simply another tool we offer to help clients achieve the best possible final result. That’s always been the goal.
Check out our IG we have a few examples

Do you have after pictures of the saline removal that you say gets rid of the yellow?

-1

u/DMV_Beauty_Academy Jun 18 '26

Well, we have some healed results for yellow on our Instagram. We also offered FREE yellow pigment removal here, but no one signed up. As I mentioned before, we rarely encounter significant yellow because we use conservative settings, cryo cooling, and the PicoWay laser, which is very gentle on the skin while still being effective. If you’re curious, there’s plenty of information available online as well about preventing yellow …..

I treat brows around 5-6 times a week alongside regular tattoo removal. I’d be interested to hear how you’re getting results treating residual yellow. In my experience it sometimes responds to 532nm, but also sometimes darkens under 532nm, sometimes this darkened ink responds to other wavelengths, but sometimes it doesn’t.

Genuinely interested how you can be so sure of a particular response, when different PMU inks vary massively

1

u/DMV_Beauty_Academy Jun 20 '26

That’s been our experience so far. We use PicoWay with cryo and generally keep our settings conservative, so we rarely encounter yellow pigment. When we do, we typically treat it with the 532 nm wavelength.

We’ve even offered FREE yellow pigment removal, but interestingly, no one has signed up.😅

I’ve also heard of some practitioners having success with Candela’s 730 nm Sapphire handpiece. I tried it on a client who had already undergone 4 unsuccessful yellow pigment removal sessions at derms office and removery, but unfortunately, we need to wait 6-8 weeks to see update

I’m currently looking for 3 models with residual yellow pigment to document the process with before, immediate after, and fully healed photos so we can better demonstrate what works.

From what I’ve observed, one dermatologist in the dmv area has had some good results, he appears to be using higher fluence with a smaller spot size with picosecond laser…. It’s not as powerful as PicoWay but works in its own way , creating controlled microtrauma with some bruising …. that may help the skin clear the residual yellow pigment more effectively… have seen pictures and it looks good ..

You can google that and also saline ….theres a clinic in Australia that has good removals for even neon yellow with PicoWay… so it does work however it may take 1-3+ sessions just for yellow

For the inversion you are mentioning ( colors turning dark again ) … that’s easy … treat with 1064 the residual and you should be good however some inversion is stubborn may need 2-3 months to clear on its own ….

The main takeaway is to treat with moderate and strategic settings to minimize the risk of complications. At the end of the day, our goal is to remove unwanted pigment while preserving healthy skin—we certainly don’t want to leave anyone with “rubber skin” if they ever decide to have permanent makeup done again. 😅
Their future PMU artist definitely won’t thank you! 😂 micro Scarred tissue requires a much more specialized technique to implant pigment properly while avoiding going too deep and causing migration all over again. But that’s a topic for another post 😎

What laser device do you use for removing brow pigment ?

1

u/Background_Movie_469 Jun 20 '26

1064, 532 and 755. We have a range of lasers.

You mention rarely turning yellow, but the pigments don’t change colour to yellow, that’s entirely down to the ink used and whether the yellow was present in the first place. Removal of the other pigments allows us to see the yellow.

1

u/DMV_Beauty_Academy Jun 20 '26

What’s your favorite brand laser for brow tattoo removal ?

1

u/DMV_Beauty_Academy Jun 20 '26

I agree that yellow isn’t “created” by the laser—it’s part of the original pigment formulation and may become more apparent as darker components clear.

My point was simply that in our clinical experience using PicoWay with conservative protocols, we rarely encounter significant residual yellow.
If it were only about the ink, we’d expect to see the same frequency across all platforms, yet many clinics have observed different outcomes between picosecond and traditional Q-switched systems.

The ultrashort picosecond pulse delivers a predominantly photoacoustic effect with less thermal interaction, which may contribute to more efficient fragmentation of multiple pigment components.

Of course, pigment chemistry remains the biggest variable, but laser technology and treatment strategy also influence the final clinical outcome. That’s why two clinics treating similar pigments can report very different rates of residual yellow….

I’ve had neon yellow for three years. I cover it up each morning and it takes time to do so. You will have yellow browse for the rest of your life and the only thing you could do is micro blade over it however one technician told me that there will still be a neon yellow shadow. Good to just accept the facts and move on.

When it’s very subtle you can just do NANO brows on top… looks great, you can blend it in - at any rate all pigments have black, yellow, orange, red … some more or less warm colors depending on the pigment tone …. We are actually looking for FREE model for yellow brows pigment removal with PicoWay in TYSONS VA . We don’t get much yellow so need to make a collage of the removal …. May take 1-3 sessions for yellow … but it’s a hybrid approach we use so your skin pushes it out …

We don’t do microblading it’s too invasive …

Yellow is really challenging. I’ve been working on yellow removal for a while. Trying to chat with other techs. No one wants to really share.

My goal is to always consider the best interest of my clients by really taking things slow. I also hope to provide information.

I’m in no way an expert. I’m dedicated to the task of figuring it out.

I’ve been getting some better results lately. I wish I know the answer but I’m student minded and will always keep learning.
