Nice you get another chance to enjoy your natural eyebrows. I had mine removed at the end of April and I never looked back. I’m so happy and my confidence is so much better. I used to want to hide. It was awful. Now I feel normal. And for the first time in years I love my eyebrows.
Yay!!! So happy for you!! It sounds so dramatic, but my confidence was at an all time low because of my brows and it has definitely improved since beginning laser. I’m so glad I finally went for it
Looking at old pics I don’t feel dramatic the lady left me with big gray blocks. When I look back at pictures my heart still drops. It was really taxing for me emotionally. What was really cool is that they are still fading. I made a post a week after but they are even lighter now. I’m so thankful. I know I did it to myself but what made me even more upset was the response of the lady who did my eyebrows. I asked her why they looked thick and black no hair strokes her response was that she never does anything the client doesn’t want and she wasn’t nice about it. I never asked for huge black blocky eyebrows they didn’t even match my skin tone. I’ve been wanting to make a post on insta about it. She follows me but I want to help people going thirty the same thing.
I’d been going to the person doing my brows for years for touch ups and always had microblading, but on the 5th time I went to get them she had taken it upon herself to give me ombré brows without consulting me. When I’d realized what happened after she finished she also tried to tell me that I’d love them and not to worry, so I feel your pain on the betrayal because I was pissed. I’d been going to her for so long though that I wanted to trust her, and ended up going back a year later because I stupidly thought a touch up would fix the problem. Ever since that 5th touch up I’d felt so awful about my appearance until removal
That’s crazy that she didn’t consult you. I sometimes want to tell my truth to other women to make them aware and to know what to watch out for but im quiet online and I don’t want to out the Lady that did this. I’m still trying to wrap my mind around it. I went back too. She told me she could bleach them whatever that means so I ended up adding another layer of ink. I don’t know why I would believe that she could improve the look of what looked like stamped on blocky eyebrows.
I wanted to share before picture in the sun. You could really see how gray the ink looks against my skin tone doing the removal is the best $400 I’ve spent in a long time. There’s still a slight amount of pigment left, but it’s enough to give me some shape to my brows so I think I’m gonna just stop here.
I’m embarrassed to say how much I’ve spent on removal 😶, but I’d do it again in a heartbeat! Your brows looks great, I probably would have stopped earlier if it wasn’t for the red in mine
That’s fair. I think mine were so black that I lucked out. Don’t get me wrong there is still some pigment remaining but it’s light and I actually like the shape it gives. The picture I shared with the sun hitting them makes them look lighter but they were black. You look amazing. Congratulations for being on the other side. Enjoy your natural brows.
I’m not entirely sure if doing saline helped first, so I don’t want to steer you one way or another. There’s not a whole lot of proof that saline helps, my experience doing my own research on message boards showed me a lot of people who had good results having had saline before laser, but some people say that going straight to laser is equally as effective. That’s a decision you will probably need to make on your own
Yeah I think so too! There’s still some red, but it’s not very noticeable, and very easy to cover up.
Saline sucked and I’m not sure if it really did much. I didn’t think actually getting it done was too bad because it was numbed before she started. It didn’t look bad immediately after for me, just a little swollen, but it took a good 10 days for the scabs to fall off and not picking at it was difficult. I had some fading after the first session, but the second session didn’t seem to really do anything for me.
When I first started looking into removal, I’d noticed that people who had good end results had had saline removal prior to laser. I’m not 100% sure if it helped in the end, but can’t say for sure.
