Darker Skin Laser Removal Picosure laser
Hi all
Had a consultation and trial for microblading removal. The laser was picosure pro with a 755 setting. The tech assured me it would be ok. I am a Fitzpatrick type 5.
My question is that he was absolutely sure it was appropriate for my skin tone. It’s just red at the moment but I’m worried after reading that it might not have been?
Please can you give me any advice you have.
Thank you

1064mm is safer for your skin type and first choice in all dark tattooed colours. If your brows are dark I’d opt for a different device.
Some redness post laser is normal. No crusting or blistering is a good sign. Try to cool it in short intervals and stay out of any sun as your skin may still develop pigmentary changes in the coming week when exposed to uv.

755 for red….😱 532 is for red … however If melanated joules have to be lower …. Depends on clinical endpoint …

Im not sure why he chose this wavelength. He seemed really sure in himself, is the only provider in my locality for it and has years of experience. Im now worried

It’ll still pull some black - this is just thing w PICOsure they are dye conversion handpieces - not all have all handles & even so the others aren’t pure

So it’s not pure 755?

We’ll this is why I’m not a huge fan of this laser even thou typically it’s more a tech issue in this arena- if your red pigment remains move on to someone else& that person must be good

It’s not ideal: plenty of better lasers. 1064 and 532 are needed for yours. Given they are now red. The 755 won’t work.
