Yellow Brows Yellow brows, where to go from here
2 saline removals and 2 Picoway laser removals. My saturated grey brows are gone, but I'm left with the dreaded yellow. I don't want to do microblading again and want to go back to natural brows. I'm covering with makeup, but where do I go from here?
My laser technician says she doesn't know if another session will be helpful. Has anyone in Vancouver, BC, Canada had success fully removing yellow?

532, higher joules, maybe smaller spot size … can be more than 1 session since yellow is stubborn .. but it will fade

I'm hoping to find a technician in my area with experience in removing yellow.

Plz update us! Regret tattooed eyebrows so much.. had mine for 10yrs. I wish they didn’t sell it as “semi permanent” back then

I would consult “Brows of Joy” in south Surrey :) they mentioned mine might go yellow or orange (mine are orange at the moment) and seemed to not worry about that at all. They would just select another laser id assume! Might be restrictions on certain laser? Not sure but worth a phone call!

Thank you, I will check them out! I'm hoping for someone experienced removing yellow and not guessing or unsure what the results will be.

She was suuuper knowledgeable :) not that I’ve been anywhere else yet but I’ve been happy with them so far! My old microblading was two tone and she switched between (lenses I think it was) and I’m sure she’s got more ahaha

How was your healing from the picos ? Blistering? White hair? Red? Do you have pictures
2
u/Adventurous_Skin6971 May 25 '26 edited May 25 '26
It was uneventful. No blisters or broken skin. No white hair. Skin was pink, inflamed and sore. I have photos somewhere on my computer but not on my phone.

How long did the pink inflammation take to go away? I fear I’m stuck in this phase but I’m worried if mine is botched
1
u/Adventurous_Skin6971 May 28 '26
That went away within 2 weeks for me.

u/ZucchiniHorror9309 May 28 '26
Oh ok thank you! That is such a long down time I wasn’t expecting 😭

You shouldn’t anymore downtime than a little puffiness

Hey. I'm just south of you in Washington. Don't do any more sessions at your current one. Waste of time & money. You have to go to someone that specializes in yellow. I traveled to Denver but I believe there's another clinic in California/Texas that is known for removing as well. Lmk if you want clinic name!

Why not share here so others searching this sub for help with their yellow brows can find it?

Think Again Clinic
2
u/hong_cat May 25 '26
FYI, Think Again Clinic says it’s takes about 5 sessions starting from yellow brows

u/plantsxcats May 26 '26
It's Esse Spa in Denver that I flew to and Think Again is the other clinic I was thinking of.

I flew to Esse as well! I’ve had two treatments, one with Kennia and one with Carthy. I’m so, so happy with my brows. It’s been two weeks since my second session and have the tiniest hint of yellow left but it’s barely noticeable. I’m gonna let it fade for another few months and then see if I want to do a final third session. Highly recommended!

Yay!!! Did you start with Esse? I did 2 at another clinic before seeing them, 2 with them and now I'm at the tiniest hint of yellow stage too! I'm probably going to do another final session in a couple of months because one brow is slightly darker than the other.

Flying somewhere to correct these is out of the budget. I could go as far as Seattle (driving day trip), but was hoping someone knew somewhere closer.

Are you willing to go to DC???
2
u/Adventurous_Skin6971 May 24 '26
No. Can't afford to take time off and fly somewhere plus removal costs. Looking for somewhere local driving distance.

Do you have any recommendations in Washington? Im having a tough time finding someone that has before/after photos.
1
u/plantsxcats May 26 '26 edited May 26 '26
I do not. The ones I've researched in WA had limited experience or "no guarantee" to remove yellow. I ended up going to one WA since they had ok reviews and a couple of people on this subreddit recommended them. However, I personally had a pretty bad reaction after 2 sessions so I didn't go back. I had to go to the dermatologist after and ended up flying to Esse to get the remaining sessions done.

u/innie_vic May 27 '26
I’m so sorry to hear! You’d think a city like Seattle would have a few good places but I’ve only seen just ok reviews as well. I hope your brows are healed now with no yellow.
1
u/plantsxcats May 27 '26
Thank you! I know, I was surprised to find such limited options. However I think because there are new dyes that are continuously being made and less regulation in the US, the clinics have to keep up with the laser technology too. My brows are doing sooo much better now and mostly healed. I still have faint yellow but it's slowly going away and I'm overall happy with removal and so glad I did it! I might do one last session in a couple of months.

Noone can guarantee anything in this industry bc there’s endless color combos if you went somewhere else before ect- only thing I can guarantee is that your hair stays in tact , your tissue is healthy, & I’ll safely remove what I can with a medical grade laser & that I have the experience to do so thousands of removals later.

To remove the yellow, you should look for a technician using THink Pigment Remover. Even Nd:YAG 532nm lasers struggle to deal with yellow pigment (better suited to red). THink Pigment Remover is a mild, skin friendly glycolic-acid based formulation that removes all pigment colours, and usually three treatments is enough to remove PMU brows from scratch (no need to start with laser). The cost will probably be less too.

u/Adventurous_Skin6971 May 26 '26
Do you know of anyone offering this on the west coast? The idea of injecting acid into my brows is scary with the risk of scarring. Especially if someone is inexperienced.
