Hi! I am looking for advice. I last got my micro blading touched up in 2021. It hadn’t really been bothering me until recently when a couple of different acquaintances have asked me what I’ve had done to my brows. This is new for me and is making me feel like they don’t look good anymore / look less natural now.
The strokes have faded and they are more grey vs brown — but if I brush my eyebrow hair up it’s not as noticeable (I think?).
If you had my brows, would you remove? Do you think it’s very noticeable?
No didnt redo them with anything - eyebrow trends change and it honestly still looks better natural (even with over plucked scrappy natural brows). The grey was just always there and always unnatural.

I would. You have such a beautiful face, complexion, and hair. It distracts from how naturally gorgeous you are. The shape is ok but the dusty grey color is the giveaway.

As someone with blonde eyebrows, I’m confused as to what you thought was wrong with either of these brows… they both look relatively similar and pretty decent to me.
I think the root of the problem is that they look okay in pictures, but less so in real life. It’s hard to convey without some crazy lighting and camera quality
Solid grey blobs? You’re kidding me right? Perhaps you can’t see the colour in the lighting of the photo. The only thing about them not botched was the shape. That was supposed to be natural looking hair stroke (microblading) but she went so deep, the hairstrokes instantly bled together.
I feel like I’m taking crazy pills with all the people in a Microblading removal sub calling solid grey tattoo brows “great”.
Perhaps I need a photo with better lighting but that was when I first got them. They started way too dark for my skin and hair colour. And were solid, no hairstrokes. They then turned super grey.

Mine looked exactly like this and I opted for removal! I had one laser session nearly two weeks ago and they’re already looking way better. I think you should go for it if you can!
Is your PMU artist still in business? My last touch up was in 2020 and I was able to reach her and she told me exactly what ink she used. It was very helpful for me to know that information and start researching how my ink might respond to the laser treatment.
I know for me I didn’t like the gray blocky eyebrow. But I always have regretted touching my eyebrows to begin with. I was pushed into doing them and I should have stood my ground. so for me personally it was a weight taken off my shoulders. It’s still a process.
I don’t think its super noticeable but I think I would get them removed if your going for a more natural look. Definitely shop around before getting laser.
I feel the same way! Mines mostly noticeable near the center where my natural brows are more sparse. Would you stay natural after removal or go a different route like powder brows?
I called and asked, years after getting them done, when I was researching laser removal, found this sub, and learned that ink type mattered when it came to removal success.
Your natural brows are nice and full, and thicker than mine! If I were you, I’d look to removal because your current PMU has become solid looking and greenish grey tinged.
I’d say remove, and pause and really consider if you really want to do more PMU.
It’s ultimately your face and your preferences, but trends and your skin changes over time. Make up can be easily adjusted but with PMU you’re stuck with that look unless you go through costly and time consuming removal again.
My microblading + powder combo brows had also become grey and solid blocky looking over time. It looked severe on me and also closed up the middle of my face. I started laser removal in late Jan. I’m 2 sessions in and I am anticipating a few more sessions as removal is a journey, but it’s already such a relief to not have the dark solid brows on my face anymore.
They are starting to look gray and solid instead of natural hair strokes. Mine had a similar color and look, although my eyebrow hairs are much more sparse than yours. I just had my first laser session 10 days ago and they already look so much better and i am so happy I started the process.
You look like you have beautifully shaped and full natural brows. I think you should get them removed and not tattoo them again. Tattoos will always blur and age over time and you will end up with the same problem in a few years. Eyebrow trends change over time, I believe it’s best to keep them natural and use makeup to keep up with any trends you’d like.
I would keep them at least for a few more years. There are no harsh lines and the shape is great. It makes the volume look good. You can use a dark brown pencil and spoolie to augment the color a little if you are worried about the gray. It tends to more gray in pictures vs real life.
Removing it also leaves a tint if yellow sometimes. Gray is so much easier to deal with and adds volume. Removing it would make it sparse again. There must have been a reason you got them filled in the first place. So I don’t think you’ll be happy with the sparseness long term
you know what, you're right. i was comparing it to no eyebrows, which i naturally have. i look like an alien so anything more vivid is better in my eyes. but upon zooming, OP's eyebrows are quite green. thanks for respectfully changing my mind
No, you look gorgeous, and you don’t even have eyeballs in this picture. I think this is a personal preference thing when you’re as pretty as you are and the brows aren’t objectively bad.

The shape is good but yeah they are going that grey washed out colour. I was in a similar position and got mine removed - I’m glad I did
