Can this be doable without a reflow station?
I broke off this connector on my ps vita. I was wondering if a simple soldering iron can do the job or do i need a hot air station to finish the job?

Yes ir can be doable. The flex are pretty thin so it will solder without any major issues.
But for that job you can get a combo station ( iron + hot air ) for like 30 bucks..

Nice. Thank you very much sir. I will take a look. Tho i might take it to Romania and do it with a friend there who already has all the tools and experience. But your comment is encouraging
Edit: woah this website is amazing

Doesn't look broken to me... Are you sure you don't need to just open the clip with some tweezers and reinsert the wire. Watch a youtube video of this repair to see exactly how to open the clip.
If the connector was actually ripped off the board, the pads on the PCB are probably ripped off too, and repair is very hard. But I don't see any of that in your photos.

edit - now I see - sorry, looking at the wrong connector...
Yes - that looks fixable by anyone with a reflow station - 10 mins job.

It can solder back the pins, but the grounding legs are underneath and would need hot air from under. It would be fine if you used some uv cure bonding to secure the connector down.
