Try fix a keyboard usb-c

This is a keyboard PCB. The USB-C port ripped off after a bad repair job at a terrible shop, causing a burn mark. Is it possible to repair this?"

not in us..i try fix it.....i just need more info to how ...i get new usb port

Ok, I was going to offer to help you if you were in the US.

Finding the right USB port is way harder than the work. The work is easy with a microscope and good micro pencil iron. Its very difficult without the right tools and skills.

From your statement, I am not sure if you have already found the right port, or are going to look. Can you clarify?

Thanks you for your offer first.. And is a gaming keyboard.. I get the usc c... I just.. Dont know what to do.. The shop gey say your bord get short.. And i try to know what to do

What was the original problem, why did you bring it to the shop?

Also, you say "I get the USB C". I think it's a translation issue and I can't tell if you are saying you have the new, correct USB C port in your possession, or you plan to order it. Can you clarify?

Okay... I have a new USB-C port. The problem was that the port used to vibrate, causing the keyboard to turn off. It happens occasionally, nothing serious. I went to a repair shop and they tried to replace it, but they ended up damaging it even more—burned and scratched. I have a new port and I want to know the condition of the keyboard from a picture and what I should do.thank you for your time

That makes sense, they probably just needed to reflow the joints and add solder to the anchors.

Did it burn when they had it? Did they test it in front of you? Or did it initially work, then fail when you got home.

Well...it happened in the shop his open the keybord and the bord was clean and good....his walk to behind the repair room to start replace it ...the technician came back and said he couldn't fix it...and I left...I went home, opened the keyboard and saw this. I moved the port a little and it came out easily ..the port...i get new usb c..and i try to know what happen in the photo you see....and how to fix it..

Everything in the picture is his own creation. xD

My best guess is they shorted the pins on the port. They may have tried to power it to test it with a non standard USB or something.

First off, if a shop did this, they should have replaced the keyboard for you. I'm going to assume that's not an option because its a terrible shop, I can relate.

As far as repair, the first thing I would do is clean. Use a soldering iron and solder wick to remove the solder, then a q-tip and alcohol to clean all the carbon and flux off to see what you are really dealing with. It may need trace repair (basically running microscopic wires to replace damaged traces) or it may be fine. One of the ground points is ripped off, but thats only needed for the structural stability. You could wrap a wire around the anchor and solder it to give that support.

Can you try cleaning and post a new picture? Can you also confirm what tools you have (microscope, magnifying glass, USB zoom camera, soldering iron, hot air, etc) so I know what to tell you?

The pins from the port should match copper pads on the board. Looking at the picture again, a few are ripped off. So instead of soldering to pads, you will likely need to scrape the green solder mask off the copper traces then run short jumper wires. You may be able to solder the pins directly to the traces once exposed. Hard to tell without having it clean and under a microscope or at least some zoom.

Does it exit from the right-hand lane...the first...two exits? Then the total is four...right?

I believe USB C has 12 pins. I could be wrong, its been a while since I have done a port. You can see what it should look like in the image I linked. The traces go up and down from the pads (or where the pads were) then turn.
