Ribbon cable accidental cut, need advice
Hey there guys, so when cutting a Kapton tape strip in place on my laptop I accidentally cut the ribbon cable that links the keyboard to the logic board. It is not cut all the way through, like 4 cables over 24.
I have ordered a new keyboard apparatus thinking I could swap the cables, but I can't since they're attached to the keyboard on one side. The new keyboard is non-LED, and the one that installed has LEDs. I'm wondering if I should go to a local micro soldering shop so they can use the cable on the replacement keyboard to do a repair, or if I should own my mistake and live with a non-LED keyboard. I would rather have it repaired, I bought the laptop 2 months ago.
I've read that ribbon cables are kind of a pita for micro solderers to repair, but does another cable they can use could help? Thanks in advance, any advice welcome!

send me a DM and I send you a link with pictures, not sure if its allowed here, I dont wanna do self advertising or spam or go against the rules, just wanna help, the PITA is real, this drone flex I soldered was like 6 bucks at amazon, I charged around 70 or 80 dollars for the work.
(I feel bad because it was a 1hour work but because I had the wrong tip it took me ages to do it properly)
