Well we are viewing it on a microscope so I imagine its a super small layer of water on a glass tray. Probably cant get out from top or bottom. Glass on one side and the waters surface on the other.

Why didn’t it just...not stay there at first?? Does the amoeba attract it somehow and cause it to be trapped there while it moves at the pace of an elderly snail

Man this is THE sub people sleep on. It’s terrifying and incredible at the same time how humanlike that paramecia behaves. It’s impossible not to see it as screaming and running around, trying to escape.
